Hi F. Angler, saw this rod in your other video of 4 JDM rods and thought it was nice looking but not as nice as your Ares Dreams, which i couldn't quite pull the trigger instead I got the lesser of Ares, the Blue Porter for not much over $220 months ago. Now i'm waiting to take delivery of this Abu 510 in a couple of days from Australia. It'll be my 4th high quality JDM rods. Thanks for showing!

The abu garcia "limber" model has a slower taper you are cooking for. Yet still very sensitive.

I am not sure about toray nano-alloy. On the cards from my realfinesse rod is only printed 'nano carbon'. On cards from my Olympic Finezza Prototype, Shimano Poison Adrena and Evergreen International Superior rods is printed 'toray nano-alloy'. I still like my ABU rod tough. Thanks for the vid.

Nice review! I got the 6'10'' model but sadly broke it when something big grabbed my jig while I was trolling for crappie. Im looking at this 5'10'' model. My main concern is casting distance as I do alot of shore fishing too. Do you think there is much if any loss in casting distance when using light jigs such as 1-3 grams? Also how have you been liking the rod after some time now?

Casting distance is affected with the shorter rods, unfortunately. But not terribly so.

I have that rod (6.10 LS) and it is an awesome piece of graphite, sensitive, soft, and a pleasure to fish with. Stuck a 14in Crappie with it last night, a real drag puller but the rod handled him with ease. No complaints and really no comparison to the Phenix, a much better rod in my opinion. ABU makes a quality rod from a great blank.

Just bought a 7' 6" lt eradicator after some YT review about it's sensitivity, saw it few yrs back but I wasn't that confidence about Abu's rods after my Veritas hope I made the right decision about this or no more ABU for me.

They all use the NanoAlloy. I believe a resin to increase elasticity.
