AMEEEN. From someone who watched the Omar Series (i kinda regret as their faces keep coming to my mind) this was the most beautiful story and i kept matching the scenes in my mind while listening hahahaha. These three men Subhanallah, they were always united even during hardships, they didn't abandon each other despite their faith issues. Absolutely LOVE this story and ofc may allah reward Imam Omar Suleiman for his eloquent and BEAUTIFUL interpretation as always!

-Abdullah was 16 years old when Prophet Muhammad PBUH received revelation and Abu Jandal not even a teenager. -Abdullah once asked his father Suhayl, "Do you want a son who is a loyal coward or a courageous opponent?'' He replied, "A courageous opponent but can't you be courageous and loyal at the same time. Abdullah then said "I have followed the religion of Muhammad and rejected the two idols Lat and Uzza". When Suhayl heard this he tried to convince him not to do this. -His mother was Fakhita Bint Amir bin Nawfal, sister of Zayd ibn Amr ibn Nawfal. -Siblings of Abdullah: •Sahla sister of Abdullah,wife of Abu Hudhaifa; bred fast Salim Mawla ibn Abu Hudhayfa •Another sister Umm Kulthum •Abu Jandal was the younger brother of Abdullah, accepted Islam secretly. -Suhayl's children and brothers embraced Islam and migrated to Abyssinia with their spouses. -Sawdah bint Zam'ah was first married to As Sakran ibn Amr, brother of Suhayl. -Sulayt another brother of Suhayl -When Abdullah comes back from Abyssina, Suhayl tortures him. So, Abdullah pretends to renounce his islam but gives dawah secretly. -Prophet PBUH send bilal ra to Al-Akhnas ibn Shurayq to seek permission for entering in Makkah after the torture of taif. When he refuse6s, he PBUH send him to Suhayl. Suhayl refused his request in a dignified manner -Abdullah joins Prophet Muhammad PBUH at night before Badr. -Abu Jandal stays back in Makkah as he is too young too fight. -Suhayl is captured in Badr. -Umar ra wanted to knock Suhayl's teeth out so he can't use his tongue anymore but Prophet PBUH refused and said maybe one day his tongue might please you. -Mikraz ibn Hafs takes the place of Suhayl in captivity so that Suhayl can return to Makkah to bring his ransom to the Prophet PBUH. -Abu Jandal's islam was exposed to his father. So, Suhayl puts him in a chamber and tortures him. Abu Jandal was not able to spend much time with the Prophet PBUH -The chief negotiator that came at Hudaybiyyah(for the treaty)was Suhayl. - One of the conditions of the treaty of Hudaybiyyah was that if any mushrik comes to the Prophet PBUH he should be protected but if any Muslim fugitive escapes to Madinah he should be returned. -When Ali ra wrote 'The Messenger of Allah' and 'Allah the Most Beneficial, the Most Merciful', Suhayl said not to write that as we don't believe in the Messenger and don't know the Most Beneficial and The Most Merciful(only knows Allah). -Abu Jandal escapes the chamber with his chains still on his hand and feet, on hearing about the treaty of Hudaybiyyah (which is 100 miles away). On seeing him, Suhayl slapped him, grabbed him by collar and told "He is the first person in the treaty who is going to come back with us." -The Prophet PBUH and the Muslims were seriously devastated on seeing the conditions of Abu Jandal. -The Prophet PBUH said to Suhayl that the treaty is not even completed, just give me him but Suhayl brought Abu Jandal back to Makkah. -Abu Jandal and Abu Basir escapes Makkah. Abu Basir entered Madinah while Abu Jandal stayed at the outskirts. -Two people from Quraysh came in search for them, they captured Abu Basir but couldn't find Abu Jandal. -Abu Basir kills one of the two while the other one(from Quraysh) runs back. -Abu Basir and Abu Jandal helps some of Muslim fugitives(over 70 muslim)to escape from Makkah. They formed a band and attacked Meccans that were travelling from Makkah and As-Sham, messing up their trade route, because of which Abu Sufyan told the Prophet PBUH to keep them in Madinah. -When conquest of Makkah comes, the Prophet told the people of Makkah "O Quraysh! What to do you think I'm going to do with you", Suhayl replied "We accept from you good because you're a noble man, the son of a noble man", Prophet PBUH said (what Yusuf AS said) "No reproach on you this day; may Allah forgive you, and he is the Most Merciful of those who show mercy!", at this point Suhayl became a Muslim. -Suhayl received 100 camels from the spoils of Battle of Hunayn. -Suhayl became a distinguished Muslim in Makkah. -When the Prophet PBUH died in Madinah, some people in Mecca tried to bring back the days of ignorance, so Suhayl, hearing these talks, stood up in front of the Ka'bah and said "O people of Makkah! Don't become the last people to become Muslim and the first people to apostate. Whoever worshipped Muhammad, then Muhammad is dead, but whoever worshipped Allah, then Allah is Alive and shall never die."(exact statement of Abu Bakr ra). After this everything cools down in Makkah. Suhayl goes to Madinah. He fought in the Battle of Yamama along with his two sons and son in law. Abdullah and his son in law were martyred.

I remember reading this story in my 10 standard textbook of Islam education, the moment Abu jandal (Ra) was coming to Rasulallah saw in chains blood dripping from his body is truely heartbreaking. May Allah swt reunite us with our beloved Rasulallah saw and this family in jannatul firdaus.

Alhamdulillah I have produced videos out of my own pocket that prove mathematically scientifically and logically that 1.
