Allaah Akbar. JazaakAllaahu khairaa for helping us to inspire to become good, pure Muslims. How often we have studied upto Masters levels in secular education. We were not exposed to intellectual Islam at the universities we attended! So we have to start from scratch. But, Alhamdulillaah the western institutions taught us good English. This enabled us to read classical books on Islaam which were translated into English. The western institutions taught us Socrates, Aristotle, Plato, Hobbes, Locke, Karl Marx and the like. Islam has produced eminent scholars who help us to keep to the Straight Path when we are going astray. It is only when we meet with life's calamities that we question the type of knowledge we have acquired when we were young. The pure minds we were born with were adulterated. How I wish that learning Islaam becomes easy for me. Please pray for me, and always keep us guided. May Allaah bless you, Sheikh, and make you sincere in your call to Islaam. Ameen!
