Is this not locking because you haven't got the disc in it pushing the bar on the side to make it lock?

Hi i am aware how it works and that it only locks on disc. I have pressed the disc sensor and it still does not work

Ours failed after one week on the bike.

After 1.5 years of 1 a week use my failed to , bearley removed it from my disc wheel , Abus , I expected more for my money .

Having a similar issue except mine won't open. Luckily malfunctioned off the bike.

I bought a 2nd one of these. This time it died on the bike. Will not light up or make sound. The battery was fine, it hasn't rained. Terrible lock. I will never buy this again.

Why not try to repair it instead of turning it around for 7 minutes.

Why not tell me how rather than say that ? I did this video for abus for warranty claim which is still unsolved. There is no way to repair it what so ever. I believe it got moisture inside electronics and is malfuncioning. It is ment to be water proof

@@juliuslt14 I trust you. Have another lock from the same brand. Picked it apart and fixed it when broken. Great lock when it works. Have a nice day.

damn this happened to me kinda today after one day of use! it was out in the cold overnight, I had to bring a power supply and plug it in for a few seconds to wake it up

My abus smartx 6500 won't close either Did you fix yours?

@@juliuslt14 well, i fixed mine in the meantime. I opened it up and observed that some gear teeth from the reductor box got ripped off. I found a replacement little motor on the internet from an image search (the abus guys didn't want to help me). It cost about 10€. I replaced the motor and it works fine now, but I am still not using it anymore.
