OMG, so fast! My father once saved a company, because he did his OWN quality control. The QA (Quality Assurance) department sent out salespeople with faulty sales samples. But my Dad got his own copies, and checked them with a fine-tooth comb. When the sales person's sample failed, Dad would already have his, in his hand. "Oh, you silly! You brought the wrong one! Haha! Forgive him, please, customer. He's new." He did it repeatedly, because the QA department still kept taking home paychecks WITHOUT EVER ACTUALLY CHECKING THE QUALITY OF ANYTHING. However, eventually, it did catch up to them. The higher ups wondered why the only sales that went through were the ones where my father was present. Word got out that QA was ALWAYS shipping faulty products to the salesmen. And then the customers were getting their actual products, over which my father did not have control. If he hadn't saved the sales, in the first place, the company would not have had the funds to fix all the customer orders, in the second place. It was only a temporary fix, to be sure, but it bought them enough time and money to fix things, and save their bacon. And all that time, the entire QA department seemed to think that they only existed because regulatory agencies required a certain number of warm bodies in a department labeled "Quality Assurance," but that they were not supposed to even actually DO anything. They never looked at the product, at all! My father knew that, because he once sent through a product with a blatant, if-you-even-glace-at-it-you-will-see-it, mistake, and they passed it 100%. That's when he started bringing his own tried-and-tested back-ups, and back-ups to the back-ups, just in case something happened to the back-up. Good thing, too, because there was at least one accident with a back-up, and the back-up back-up saved the day. Within one quarter, it all would have gone down, if not for the time my father bought them. One quarter!

Well, that's the same brother who tells his boss, "We value quantity over quality." Dude. Bad call. VERY bad call. You just called down an audit of your entire department, and you probably have no idea why. "Quantity is important, but too many mistakes can land us in REALLY hot water. Customers sue. Regulatory agencies shut you down. It's NOT GOOD. We HAVE to maintain a proper level of quality, even if that means lowering the quantity. It's important to maintain a balance between quantity and quality, instead."

She might of had less trouble by putting out an APB stating that he had NO command authority. Instead of creating a department, she could have put a surgical strike on his wallet. If he was on salary, she could have made hin a hourly employee.Less work. Less pay.

Whirlpool? So she was a washer and dryer salesperson? Lots of comebacks for that.

Whirlpool actually manufactures a lot more than washers and dryers. Even small appliances! It's a good name, with a long history, trusted quality and LOTS of business.

Wife's cousin went Eton then Cambridge. His father paid fees in full and offered to pay for the whole degree in full in advance. The same with Eton. Try doing totals for tuition plus board for both and compare it with Stanford.

@@sandrasausville9103 Based on her attitude, I'd say more likely her parents are rich. OR, her parents went into debt for her. Many parents believe they have to pay for their children's college education. Then, their children are supposed to pay for the grandchildren's education. Each generation pays for the next one, and no one suffers too much from student loans, because they know the expense is coming, and start saving up for college, as soon as they find out they are pregnant. Such parents usually pay for weddings for their children, as well.

Whirlpool is a massive company, and has a lot of high-power employees in the upper echelons. Of course, they'd want someone with a degree in upper, or even middle, management. It's not all factory work, you know. Why would you think that there would be no high-power white-collar workers at a massive company like Whirlpool?

There are SO MANY people in the world who, when shopping for clothes, and they find the perfect piece, or even the perfect outfit, will say to the clerk, "Go to the back, and get all of these items. I want ALL of them." Then, they wear the same thing (clean, because they have multiple versions, but it looks the same), day after day after day. Like a uniform. Because to them, it is a uniform. "Yay! I don't have to spend even one minute choosing an outfit every morning! I always wear the same outfit, and I always know that I am dressed perfectly for my job." I know I did that. I found the perfect pair of slacks, and bought six of them. One for every workday, plus one for laundry, in case I wanted to do laundry during the week, instead of the weekend. When I went out on the weekend, or in the evenings, after work, I could have lots of fun with my wardrobe. But for business, I had a selection of tops, and the same trousers, every single day. DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO FIND SLACKS THAT LOOK GOOD, FIT PROPERLY AND HAVE POCKETS?! And black matches everything, and looks eminently professional. It was the best clothing investment I ever made. I wish I still had those pants, but that was about 13 years ago, and they are actually, finally, worn out, now. And now that I am disabled, I went to find the perfect pair of sweatpants, because they are oh, so comfy and warm! Bought every one in that style in my size. I still have a bit of variety, because they only had three and I was forced to buy others, but yeah, those three are definitely my favorite. POCKETS! It's not about stocking up because of a sale. It's about stocking up because it's EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT or NEED. For the same reason, when you find the perfect pair of shoes, you buy multiple pairs, and you TAKE THEM TO THE COBBLER, to extend their lifespan as long as possible. I met a man the other day, who had worn his favorite pair of shoes for an entire decade, and they were still going strong. Cobblers, For the Win!
