I graduated more than 4years ago, got the offer from my family to move to Canada/UK but I turned it down, I was simply afraid I am not strong enough to withstand the fitnah of the west. Got a offer to work in a bank, I turned it down simply because it is riba-based. Someone who doesn't live in my country wouldn't understand how great this two opportunities are. Many will simply jump on it. But I won't do haram, I was hopeful, I was sure, whoever leave something for the sake of Allah, Allah will give him something better. I was addicted to a sin, I device a strategy, I conquered. I started seeking islamic knowledge, started fasting the fasting of prophet dawud. I just want to get closer to Allah. I know he hears. I know he loves me more than my mum. Mission accomplished. I Stopped the sin i'm addicted to, got closer to Allah, the next thing is prayer. One faithful night, i woke up in the middle of the night and i supplicated to my Lord like never before, with tears in my eye, i asked him for both dunya and akhira. I have never fornicated before, I also used that "Tassawuf?". I was 100% sure my prayer was answered. 100%? no 1000% sure, because i felt it. Few days from that, no! I didn't get a job, something unimagenable simply happened, I had mental disorder, displaying madness in front of different people...... Excruciating. I got well months after that, lost trust, friends and many things. I couldn't just understand, it was my first ever test, never saw it coming, i don't miss my adkhar, How did that happened? To cut it short, it's been 2years after making that prayer, In term of wordly matter, i haven't gotten something better than those two offers,although things keep getting better and i'm still hopeful. Everything is part of his plan. Just felt like sharing, don't know why. If you read till this point, please pray that Allah answers my prayer beyond my imagination in this duniyah and akhirah. Lastly, Ustaz, should also stress the importance of patience and that goodness from Allah might not only be in this duniya - Don't know if that is right. In term of akhira, I believe i keep getting closer to Allah. May Allah grant us goodness of both worlds.

I left a nursing job for Allah I couldn’t pray on time I couldn’t wear my wide and long hajib. Alhamdullahi Allah gave me a hardworking husband. السلام عليكم I am watching from Algeria, supposedly a Muslim country.. where I still get mocked for wearing proper hijab! Sadly the people of knowledge here failed us, they do not acknowledge the youth’s hardships nor give good reminders. I find it fascinating how Muslims in foreigner countries seems to be more passionate about our beloved religion compared to Muslims surrounding me. May Allah guide us all and keep us on the straight path.

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) prayed both in his house and in the mosque. He would perform voluntary prayers (nawafil) at home, especially at night, while the obligatory prayers (fard) were usually performed in congregation at the mosque. He emphasized the importance of praying in congregation at the mosque but also encouraged praying at home, particularly for non-obligatory prayers, to bring blessings into the household.
