Benefits to overcome laziness (treatment for low aspiration) 1. reading the life of the great scholars of the past. (books of ibn ul qayyim or ibn rajab) رحمهما الله 2. revising some of the benefits of knowledge (think about jannah) and the hadith where the prophet ﷺ said: مَنْ سَلَكَ طَرِيقًا يَلْتَمِسُ فِيهِ عِلْمًا سَهَّلَ اللَّهُ لَهُ بِهِ طَرِيقًا إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ ''Whoever travels a path in search of knowledge, Allah will make easy for him a path to Paradise.” try even a little a day.. 3. accompanying individuals that have high aspirations (gatherings of knowledge) 4. move on to something else (another science).. which will make you miss that which you are bored off 5. not burdening yourself with more than what you can bear. brothers or sisters who start practicing and are extremely passionate.. slowly slowly.. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ also forbade being very harsh upon oneself. Benefits of Al-haram 1. a sheikh there mentioned a benefit: he was talking about high aspirations.. abu bakr رضي الله عنه didnt reach that level of piety and righteousness expect that he was trying to imitate the prophet ﷺ in as much as he could. 2. imam muslim رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ didnt reach his level expect by imitating al-bukhari رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ 3. ibn ul qayyim رَحِمَهُ ٱللَهُ didnt reach his level expect by imitating sheikh ul islam ibnu taymiyyah رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ

First of all you should take a gradual approach to acquiring Islamic knowledge. For each branch of knowledge there are specific books. The first thing you should study should be ‘aqeedah (basic tenets of faith, doctrine), then the sciences which will help you to understand the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), such as Arabic grammar, usool al-fiqh, mustalah al-hadeeth, then fiqh and Tafseer… before all of that you should start by memorizing Qur’aan, because all other branches of knowledge are studied to help one to reach a correct understanding of the Qur’aan. Here i will give you a list of books, organized in order of priority. On ‘Aqeedah: start with the book al-Usool al-Thalaathah [available in English as “The Three Fundamental Bases of Islamic Theology”], then Kitaab al-Tawheed [available in English as “Kitab al-Tauhid”], then Kashf al-Shubuhaat, all by Shaykh Muahmmad ibn ‘Abd al-Wahhaab. Then read Kitaab al-‘Aqeedah al-Waasitiyyah [also available in English as “Principles of Islamic Faith”] by Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah. Along with these books be reading biographies of the prophets and shaikhs. This, as the Ustadh mentioned, will allow you to stay motivated. I recommend the book 'The sealed Nectar' to learn about the prophets life. It does contain some weak ahadith so watch this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/sHbVd4Vvlrqqnsk to avoid the weak hadith. When you have done this get back to me and I'll give you the next few steps. Just remember to be patient and always grateful!

Start with al aqeedah al wasitiyah by sheikh al Islam ibn taymiyyah it does not need a explanation it is very good for the basics and if you have a teacher he can give you good advice on books he recommends for you, then I would say look for someone to teach you the 40 hadiths of al Nawawi and then umdatul ahkam, but try very hard to look for someone to teach you so that you make no mistakes in understand then you can move up insha Allah but having a teacher is very important.
