Actually, astronomy is the study of space and the planets, the moon and so on, which is a scientific study. However, the other word ending in "ology" (which is clearly shirk) is the study that is related to jinn and magic.

She said: (There cropped up something) between me and him which had annoyed him with me. He went out and did not rest here. Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) asked a person to find out where he was. He came and said: Allah's Messenger, he is sleeping in the mosque. Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) came to him and found him lying in the mosque and saw that his mantle had slipped from his back and his back was covered with dust and Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) began to wipe it away from him (from the body of Hadrat `Ali) saying: Get up, covered with dust (Abu Turab); get up, covered with dust.

Define shirk, • Provide its criteria • define a false Ilāh • define worship • define du’aa • define minor shirk - highlight the differences between major & minor shirk.

Just a layman muslim, Shirk is associating partners with Allah ( God in arabic ). We believe in One God, praying to anything or anyone except him is shirk, hence a false ilah ( a false God ). Worship is submission before him and accepting and practicing his commandments. Dua is also an act of worship, mainly done for asking Allah for anything to be provided. For major and minor shirk please refer to someone more knowlegable in islam, my understanding is that minor would be anything done out of ignorance eg: swearing in the name of someone other than God, believing in the zodiac etc and major would be taking partners with God knowingly.

Asalamu alaykum. The term Lord in the English language had its etymology as master of the household, bread provider or one who guards the loaves. Would it be shirk to acknowledge a leader as they did in the past and occasionally do in certain circumstances in the present as 'my Lord'?

Yes and no. For example even the word rabb can be used for master of the house at times. But bread provider and master are two different things. For example a slaves master is his lord, his master. Which is why Allah is our lord. But a slave may be a slave to another person as well in which they are also his master purely because of that and nothing more. But it’s best for you to stay away and refrain from using such languages as the English language is fickle and meaning changes and so it’s best to not use it as it isn’t even used in that context now.

In some Asian countries ( I can’t remember which) they do not have a 4th floor because in the local language the number 4 is similar to the word for death.

Can I ask a question? Is a person born from a slave in Islam also a slave? Can a slave-mother be sold while she has a baby? After the master dies does the slave-mother and her child become free?

The first one is no. No you cannot be sold as a slave, you can only be ransomed back to your own people. Her child is always free,what is the notion your asserting.if she had the masters child she is immediately freed upon his death. If he dies in a separate scenario I am not sure of the outcome but I do know the massive reward a man gets for freeing a slave so I doubt he would keep them.

Sahih Bukhari Hadith No. 4827 Narrated Yusuf bin Mahak: Marwan had been appointed as the governor of Hijaz by Muawiya. He delivered a sermon and mentioned Yazid bin Muawiya so that the people might take the oath of allegiance to him as the successor of his father (Muawiya). Then `Abdur Rahman bin Abu Bakr told him something whereupon Marwan ordered that he be arrested. But `Abdur-Rahman entered `Aisha's house and they could not arrest him. Marwan said, It is he (`AbdurRahman) about whom Allah revealed this Verse:-- 'And the one who says to his parents: 'Fie on you! Do you hold out the promise to me..?' On that, `Aisha said from behind a screen, Allah did not reveal anything from the Qur'an about us except what was connected with the declaration of my innocence (of the slander). Marwan governor of mawiyah tried to tyrantly arrest son of 1st caliph of Islam abu baker (ra) just from freedom of speech cuz after khilafat ended in time of mawiyah it was no freedom of speech...so his sister& Daughter of Abu baker (ra) & our mother beloved wife of beloved (pbuh) ammi ayesha (ra) protected her brother cuz he run inside her home for that he put buhtan azeem big lie on him still so our mother Ayesha (ra) defended him again
