Wow. I have gotten this track down to 1:10 with no mistakes (using slide paramita). What is the weird strat you used to get around the corners sideways while boosting? Is it faster?

Slide is an incredibly slow character so it’s not like he can ever compete with Ben anyway haha. If you want good turn rate for Abyss with actual speed use Bullseye. As for the technique you’re talking about, you’re either referring you sliding or tilting. Sliding is similar to a drift mechanic and is used on most corners in the game at the top level of play. Tilting just puts the pod on the side to reduce the hit box size. This makes it easier to be closer to the walls, and thus reduce distance traveled

Quick question, does gliding up from before the jump down to the arenaside back up into the fast lane count as a skip?

If you are referring to the recovery strats, then no, it is not a skip

Haha I’ll save that for Hyuudoro. He’s a beast at n64 version of the game. The main issue with n64 isn’t the fps or the input delay tho, it’s the method for charging boost. @@MrDungeonsiege it’s a 43.119 if I remember correctly. There’s no way to do the full track much faster unfortunately, since any major cut of the track would be a skip, and 2 player rubber banding would be a different category
