Abyssal Deathmatch: Seven Heroes (Romancing) - Romancing Saga Re;univerSe

This feels like 1993 again, when I first beat Romancing Saga 2!!! 😭 Though I abused Quick Time back then xD.....
(Formation used is Rising King)
Seven Heroes is our toughest Uber Boss fight yet!
When Boss lands a Skill attack, it will reduce our party's STR/END/DEX/AGI and buffs its own STR/END/DEX/AGI.
When Boss lands a Spell attack, it will reduce our party's INT/WIL/LOV/CHA and buffs its own INT/WIL/LOV/CHA .
When Boss is hit with slash/blunt/pierce attacks, it will remove own debuffs to STR/END/DEX/AGI.
When Boss is hit with heat/cold/lightning/shadow attacks, it will remove own debuffs to INT/WIL/LOV/CHA.
Mechanics for each HP bar as follows:
7x = Rocbouquet. Boss will buff Lightning Defense each turn.
6x = Subier joins in. Boss will buff Cold Defense each turn.
5x = Noel joins in. Boss will buff Slash Defense each turn. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to finish this HP bar in 1 turn, to prevent Boss from further buffing its Slash Defense.
4x = Dantarg joins in. Boss will buff Pierce Defense each turn.
3x = Wagnas joins in. Boss will buff Heat Defense each turn.
2x = Bokhohn joins in. Boss will buff Blunt Defense each turn. If possible, also to clear this HP bar in 1 turn, so that Cat's damage will not be affected too much. Every bit counts.
1x = Kzinssie joins in. Boss will buff Shadow Defense each turn. The real fight begins -
1st turn of this HP bar, Boss will cast Abyss Gate. Best that it targets Final Emperor who is the tank. (If Final Empress has OverDrive, have her OverDrive Light of the Sun, so that Final Emperor will revive and then take in Leon's buff.)
After a certain number of turns, Boss will fasl CAUTION!. During this turn, Boss can cast Soul Steal, so Final Empress must cast Light of the Sun, to allow party to deflect. BUT there is a chance that Boss can cast other Fast attacks before Soul Steal, such as Lunar Blade+. This is RNG and will lead to a wipe.........
Gear mostly for Slash, Blunt, Pierce, Cold, Lightning, a bit of Heat, Shadow damage mitigation and status mitigation.

Worse than they all fused together only the Destroyer (romancing saga 3) and the Egg (Saga Frontier2)

Congrats Yappi ! I gave up on this fight. I'm with Bear' setup (I don't have FEmperor) and x1 is impossible right now due to lack of damage from the team. I have to wait unfortunately 😅

Thanks Slysi! 🙏. Using Bear, need to wait for the next Sumire, and inherit Ninjustu: Present Swiftblade from her Xmas version. Will be an easier set up to clear this fight.

Just to add on, without Cat, will need to inherit Rising Nova+ to Asellus, for buff removal

As someone who dropped the game too quickly despite loving the game (separate stat grind instead of from leveling up reward like any normal RPG exhausted me, I'm not gonna replay Final Fantasy II 2.0) This event scares me a lot just by watching real veterans beat the Romancing difficulty, also 500 jewels for all players sounds a bit insulting for the first player who cleared the stage, considering that ×1 phase is really that bloated and hellish.

Haha, i get what you mean. Yes, they could have done a 3000 Gem reward. Last phase is crazy and RNG, especially with the Caution turns. If 7 heroes cast Lunar Blade+ before Soul Steal, its a wipe.

Well done, sorry I can't watch the whole fight but Rising Nova from Asellus when exactly did you use it? because I don't have Cat so in your opinion should I spam Rising Nova when I get to x1 of 7H?

I did not use Rising Nova+ for Asellus as i have Cat for the buff removal. If using Rising Nova+, yes it will be used during X1 but on turns when Asellus has OD, which is like every other turn.

Great Job ! I'm still trying to do this with Hannibal and last Matriarch instead of Final Emperor and Cat... I'm clearing the Dantarg turn in 1 turn, but last bar is falling too slowly...

Whats the gimmick of this fight? What triggers the remive debuff and what debuff does it remove?

Hey Jay, here you go: When Boss is hit with slash/blunt/pierce attacks, it will remove own debuffs to STR/END/DEX/AGI. When Boss is hit with heat/cold/lightning/shadow attacks, it will remove own debuffs to INT/WIL/LOV/CHA. So in essence, only the INT/WIL/LOV/CHA debuff will stick, if you look at the party comp and attacks used.

Hey Trystan, yea lol. RNG in last HP bar is nuts. Our party's INT debuffs have to be on point and those Caution rounds, if 7 heroes cast any Fast attacks before Soul Steal, its GG.
