The Burince vs Pulchra scene is so good. It's initially framed to make Pulchra look like the predator and Burnice like the prey: Burnice gets ambushed with the explosives, falls down, then the first thing we see is the gun pointed at her before we even get to see who is holding it, emphasising the threat she's under. Once we do see Pulchra, she's firmly in control of the situation and gets uncomfortably close, invading Burnice's personal space with vaguely threatening words. But then, of course, Burnice replies to the threat with a goofy smile, caressing the tail of the one threatening her. Camera cuts to a frame where Pulchra's face is literally framed within a portion of Burnice's face, in such a way that we can see the former's expression but not the latter, and Pulchra is at first confused, then her eyes shrink in fear as she gets a good look at her "prey" and her expression. Finally, we get to see what scared Pulchra: the manic smile on Burnice's face, framed in the red of flame. It's a fantastic use of the reversal technique. It first tries to paint a picture of a predator and prey dynamic, then goes "syke" and reveals that the predator is actually the prey and viceversa.
