That is the legendary Bon Scott. This is the original AC/DC. The one us Aussies remember as the best. Bon was a huge conrtibutor to the lyric writing and was responsible for some of their biggest hits. Brian's great but Bon was amazing.

That is their original singer- Bon Scott. He died in 80. Then came Brian Johnson!!! This here was shot in ‘76. On lead guitar , sporting a halo and choir boy outfit is one of the greatest rockers of all time - the wild and crazy Angus Young. That drummer is an effin metronome!!!!

Fun fact: Bon broke his ankle when he jumped over the band at the end of the clip. They couldn't finish the video. That's why there are studio shots to finish it out.

Bon Scott was the 2nd singer for ACDC. Like Angus and Malcolm, he was born in Scotland and moved to Australia as a kid. (Cliff Williams-bass also born there). He joined the band in 1974, taking over for their original singer, Dave Evans. Brian Johnson filled in perfectly for Bon after he died in February of 1980. Back in Black came out a few months later as a tribute to him.

AC/DC has been my favorite band since I was 13 years old. I am now 56 and they still are. That says something about me or the band or both. As far as guitarists go, Angus kicks A** with hard rock & blues rock guitar such as others do but in my opinion, Randy Rhoads, & Eddie Van Halen are the best metal guitarists that have lived so far. I honestly couldn't tell you the best video to watch for either of these artists but most reactors start with Randy's & Ozzy's "Mr. Crowley" or "Flying High Again". As far as Eddie goes, there are really so many more because Randy died way too young (1982) and Eddie died just in 2020. Most of reactors love his live version of "Eruption" or "Unchained". If you really want to listen to great (maybe perfect) rock or metal guitarists, check out these two legends with so many more songs that I have not listed ......please.

Ya bro you have to check this out live at the Apollo in 1978. Angus puts on a great show and his solos sounds even better live. Sure Bon Scott's vocals are impressive in the studio but hearing him live is next level. He was one of the greatest frontmen in rock and roll. Great reaction bro! Oh and Jailbreak live at Donnington is epic. It shows just how much chemistry Angus and his brother Malcolm had on stage. Late Malcolm Young is considered one of the greatest rhythm guitarists of all time. I love watching people react to my favourite band. Thank you. Keep rocking bro!

Great comment that "you have to be born with this" gift of playing that good. A billion guitarists, only a few can ever aspire to this level. My favourite story of Angus' prowess is from Jeff Apter's book "High Voltage." Briefly it goes like this - Angus & Malcolm's older brother George was in a brilliant 1960's Australian band called The Easybeats. As The Easybeats gained more success, George would bring home guitars for his younger brothers, and Malcolm & Angus would spend endless hours practicing, learning, honing their craft. Occasionally, the older brothers would play Angus a song on the radio or records, and say "play that." Angus would listen a few times, go off & practice for maybe 20 minutes, come back and play it. Perfect. Note for note perfect. He was born with it.

That jump from the communion table broke his ankle [you see he dropped like a rock out of the camera scene] and affected touring or recording... [You can see for the later shots they show them in the studio after his jump and fall...] They didn't make jump mats then as thick as they do today... I think his footing was off when he landed... You can see in the footage... As cringe as a broken ankle is this is still by FAR the best version of the song online...

also, as you can kinda see in the video, when Bon jumped over the drummer Phil Rudd, he did not land well and literally "broke a leg". thus the video changed 'cause Bon had been carried to hospital and the "live" shoot was over. true story i swear. just re-watch the jump and you can see it.

S as most people here have confirmed the singer in this is Bon Scott and the singer you’re used to seeing is Brian Johnson in the later years, but you are right, the guitarist is incredible Angus. You should definitely react to this same song Live at Apollo Theatre, Glasgow 1978 kzbin.info/www/bejne/qWTRdnSjqZp0kJo Angus is his magnificent best and is such an amazing live performance. ❤

Yes you have to react to this tune live!!!! No doubt. Please try the live performance at River Plate 2009. Angus does damn near 17+ minutes of guitar work that is EPIC!!!! It will blow your mind. The video is longer than most so getting it by the censors is tough but no matter what you will see one of the best guitar solos of all times!!!!! Just saying. So says Austin Tx!!!! 🥳🥳🤩🤩😎🍸
