This tune reminds me of the tune “Highway to Hell” in so much that that song was trying to be banned when it first came out as well but it was the nickname for the “Canning Highway” in Australia. Bon Scott would travel it to go to a 70’s rock n roll pub. Many people were killed by driving fast through that intersection at the top of the hill on the way for a good night out!!!!!! It amazes me to this day how many Christian ppl in the United States tried to ban the lads from radio air play and selling their albums as being devil worshipers and singing the devils praises!!!!!! Christians can be Amazing sometimes!!!!! Just saying!!!!! So says Austin Tx!!!!!!😎🍸

One of the Young brothers explained that the song was about a boy that sneaks out at night to go to his girlfriend's bedroom and also about someone that was known in their neighborhood to steal women's undergarments at night. The song came out in 1979, a number of years before the "Night Stalker" killings in California in 1984-1985. The frenzy with the song came about when an AC/DC hat was found at one of the crime scenes and the media ran with the idea that the killer was a fan of the band. The band didn't take too kindly to their song being connected to a serial killer.

The last words on the track are from the old TV show, Mork & Mindy. Robin Williams starred as a ridiculous space alien named Mork from Ork. "Shozbot" was an Orkan curse word, and "Nanu-nanu", a friendly greeting. Bon dug the show.

Yep no surprise you like this track, an underrated one for sure, musical masterpiece capturing the tone and mood and outstanding lyrics, again more double entendres as Bon was the master of. Eg you don’t feel the steel….Malcolm Young said it’s just about a guy sneaking out and sneaking into his gals place.. something to that effect but of course it can also imply more sinister connotations. Classic typical AC⚡️DC. 🔥

What a great album and what a great song. The band was in its highest level and Bon was in his greatest moment IMHO. You can feel that when you watch "Let There Be Rock" the documentary movie from one of AC DC Bon's era latest concerts, live in Paris. Unbelieveable they succed after the tragedy with maybe one of their greatest albums of all times "Back In Black" with Brian Johnson who was also in his highest moment. Curiosities of rock history.

Thanks, BIZ! To me, even the Bon era can be broken down into parts: a) the raw and nasty start which would include Dirty Deeds and TNT b) the raw but better-produced mid-era which includes albums like Let There Be Rock, Powerage, etc. c) Then the "Mutt Lange" (producer) era which is much more "polished" and less raw. Don't get me wrong Highway to Hell is a fucking awesome album, but I prefer the B era where that rawness was still there and very well captured and delivered. To answer your question, my fav album is Powerage. That's just me and my .02

MR BIZ, I think you might want to do Miracles out of Nowhere, by Kansas. You will hear both singers individually and most of their music you'll here Robbie's violin. The violin is a very important feature that sets Kansas apart from other rock and rollers. Their lyrics are almost always very deep and meaningful. They don't do dark music, most is about reaching for something higher.
