I agree with you entirely young rocketboy, their first 6 albums were awesome! I first saw them in Belfast in 1978 and most recently last April in Dublin. There is simply no band to touch them live!

Bon Scott is the baddest Scotsman since Henry Wallace and Sean Connery. LONG LIVE ROCK!

Without doubt the most hi-energy band i have ever seen live (seen over 200 big names). From the first moment i saw them live in Oct 77 i was hooked. I am a Bon fan and have found it hard to bring myself to watch them live with Brian Johnson. In fact of the 9 times i saw them live only once with Brian (Donnington, Monsters of rock - 1981). This video explains perfectly why they stormed the world.

So lucky man :) were you in UK or America? Bon incredibly never played Australia after July '77.

Simon Johnston You must have seen them 8 times in little more than 2 years that's awesome :) did you drive to different cities to get your fix? Got any bootlegs from those shows did you go to any of the famous ones?

All concerts in the North of England - Middlesbrough/Newcastle/Leeds. There is a bootleg called "Heavy Current" from one of the Newcastle, Mayfair Ballroom concerts available. Concert dated from October 1977, through to Jan 1980 and then Monsters of Rock in 1981
@johnarundell79519 жыл бұрын
Simon Johnston January '80 wow obviously one of Bon's last ever shows. I've heard of Heavy Current it might even be here on KZbin somewhere audio only :) found some a couple of weeks ago which were absolutely incredible for quality of recording and intensity of performance. One was August 22nd '77 in America somewhere just before you first saw them of course. Look on the channel 'nitroangus23' I think it was or something similar. The site bonscott.com has a pretty comprehensive list of his concerts which you'll probably find interesting as well.

Now that I look more closely at the video, I recognize the stage, crowd and Angus' brown shorts...I believe the portion of this concert where he does his classic on-the-ground-spin is featured on the cover of AC/DC: High Voltage Rock N' Roll: The Ultimate Illustrated AC/DC Hist...anyhow, the song kicks ass!!

because when Bon Scott died, i saw an interview were Angus was talking about how they weren't to paly some "certain" songs that possibly related to Bon. My guess is a song like "Ride On" and this.

I actually find that most Bon songs do not sound good with Brian singing them.

@DAVIDDADEMONROCKER Oh sorry for not mentioning the name, I was talking about Let There Be Rock. If you look around a bit on youtube you can find pieces of all sorts of concerts, maybe even a whole concert. The other day I searched the 2003 Toronto concert and I found the whole thing in one video. Just look around youtube and you will find all sorts of concerts.
