What I am liking about your channel is that you let your guests tell their story and explain their setups. While I’m not interested in full timing in a van, I found this video very helpful and very entertaining to watch. Thanks for taking the time to make these.

He is better than ‘so called’ professional talk show or tv show interviewer. A true interview is to get information, not to give it. Kudos for noticing and for the doing.

A 100% custom built travel cabin, incorporating everything the owner wants, where and how he wants it. The rear door vents and the ac system is a neat, clever combination of practicality, efficiency and subtlety. Richard is clearly loving every mile and every day of his new found freedom, and looks great for it, radiating a peaceful and happy personality. The Astro is a neat and compact package, roomy enough to live in, yet highly manoeuvrable and light enough for unmade roads. Thank you for highlighting this happy man in his happy van!

Bob I've watched your channel for years. Your message is very inspiring. Its wonderful here in our country there are so many millions of acres of public lands to live the freedom of a lifestyle you promote. I'm so thankful as an American that we all have these public lands to enjoy no matter what path we chose. It truly is what makes America great ! I'm especially thankful to our predecessors who fought tooth and nail to preserve all that land from private interests. I've researched alot about the history of who were the people and organizations that made all of that possible. It's really amazing and made me feel so proud and lucky there are so many places a person can go to nature in the United States unlike many other countrys. I encourage your viewers to explore this topic. Maybe just maybe if our generation can be inspired by the actions and dedication that created public lands it could translate into many other solutions to problems facing people and the world today. I think it's far too easy to look for the bad in people now days when we should be looking for the good that benefits us as a whole. Bob your doing a great job on that front. I understand you sometimes have to walk a fine line. As per say what is truly helpful or what could possibly create conflict on what people see clicking onto your videos. I admire your hard work and devotion to what you do.

This was one of the most innovative conversions on the channel Bob. The garage with airco and venting are great and solar panel tilt is great too. There was another one which I can't seem to find with an older guy in a sprinter van who transported pallets in it for a living so everything had to be tied to the walls when the van was used for transport, there was a window airconditioner in the roof there IIRC. Not sure if it got taken down.

That's a great van build! I'm getting ready to buy a van I can sleep and work in. I like this Astro van and want to buy something roomy. I just have to really figure out what I need and what I have to give up and where will I go first. I would love meeting other van dwellers to help me ease into this lifestyle. I think my biggest hang up will be where to go, what to do, how will I know who to talk to. But that won't stop me once the van is done. I like having nice people to talk with. I have been selling things I won't need, making dump runs, trips to Goodwill. I'm an experienced wood worker and can build cabinets and furniture, I was an electrician for 8 years so I'm excited to get my van and get going. Thank you people for sharing your builds.

Just a FYI.. you can boondock in Marathon which is the largest Key. Don't know for sure you can get away with it in Key West. Get to Marathon and park in the same lot as the Brass Monkey bar for a few days. Freddie Bye plays a mean guitar to as a side note. Friendly folks in the Keys for sure. THIS van build is incredible.
