Whilst I don't agree with the rule, by the laws of the game Tomori had to be sent off if it was deemed a penalty. The red is for denial of a goalscoring opportunity without an attempt for the ball. It definitely is a penalty though. Mount is pulled back twice and if he doesn't try to stay on his feet and get a shot off everyone says it is a penalty. This is why refs shouldn't just follow the rules to the letter because this sort of thing can happen. And it isn't double jeopardy as the ref will say the foul isn't accidental.

Before everyone comments about the penalty, it was definitely a pen but I understand people being a bit mad about it being a red card

As an AC Milan supporter and football fan i feel like we have been robbed by the refs decisions... I'm sure we could've made a good game in 11 vs 11....but we should have been smarter, mistakes like this are unforgivable in CL (Tomori's reaction is late and his hand is on the shoulder : that's pen, and if the ref choose to whistle that, it's automatically red card... It's not over yet and maybe i hope we will meet again in quarter/semi (i'm optimistic) with the whole team ready, angry and hungry and have a real good football game night and have fun, both teams and every football fan. Have a good CL and take care of Mountinho and big Reece they are gonna become even bigger players (hope they'll come to AC one day ;) )

Clueless Mount was being pulled back and instead of throwing himself to the floor like most players would he tried to play on,and the pullback prevented him from having a clearer chance so it is a penalty and although it might be harsh the rules says it’s a red as well.

Just play haaland even if he don’t score the way he just drags players to him and creates space for other players is key to Man City this year and if the ball breaks to haaland and he scores it’s win win situation
