I never used a 60 amp disconnect to power a package heat pump. 100 amp panel with a breaker for compressor (read nameplate for breaker size) and this unit looked like it was 10 kw strip heat. Probably a 40-60 amp breaker for that. I know people cut corners and the consumer never knows it. I’ve replaced a lot of burnt up 60 amp disconnects in my day and then rewire them correctly. Just saying!!!!! Always read nameplate and always ask if you have doubts.

i can not find a video anywhere on the internet on how to install a package unit. just purchased a GPH1324H41 thats going to be here any minute. comes with a heat strip but its not installed. its probably going to be easier than im thinking i just wish there was a video.

10-year warranty is not very long, I've had my air conditioning unit for 20 years and I've had no issues out of it, they should warranty that unit for at least 25 years because He is going to need that warranty, every packaged unit I ever ran across went out in a couple of years there's always a problem with it I believe it's because the components are outside in the weather in the humidity and causes them to go bad quicker. I'll stick with a split system.

Flex looks small for 3.5 ton, will need warranty for ecm motor.

What can I do to cover the sides where the duct work comes from under the house to the unit on the outside. I don't want anything to be able to crawl under my house. It doesn't look like it's flushed to the house. Any ideas.

You can always use flat sheet metal, and bend it nice and screw it in place to hide the ducts and bring it down far enough to cover anything, flatstock sheet metal makes ugly jobs better lol

Is this a mobile home? If so is that 2 supplies runs going to each supply of the 14" duct of the double wide?

lol no. one duck is for ac or heat in an the other is return if you have a modular home it t's off under the home.

Yes they are that’s a # 6 is only good for 10 kw they need another whip to run the system they’ll be having service calls on it

Goodman has 10 year warranty. does not matter who installed it.

the filter if it had one would be at the return which is usually in the floor of the kitchen living room area. not always is there a filter. but you can add one. under the grate.

I bought a Goodman 5 ton package unit. IT IS SHIT! After five years the motor went out and all the paint peeled off. Goodman would not cover any of it.

I had a goodman that was installed in 1990. it only had a problem when the tweakers got to it. that was 2013.
