@TCsAnythingGoes

yes, you will need to vacuum it out again before charging it. This is to ensure there is no moisture within the system.

If I understand what you are saying, possibility of a faulting magnetic clutch. As the compressor shut off is triggered by temp. However, if you are hearing odd noises coming from the compressor, its more economical to just change the compressor (since it comes with a new magnetic clutch) and have the whole system flushed

@@Aoneify Ahhhh.... got it. The size of the compressor pulley. Ok, from what i was told by the shop that sold the compressor to me, there is two sizes, big and small. It depends on which one your car is using. Early Lancer (2008 and 2009) uses either one so you gotta compare your original. Later Lancers and ALL Inspira uses the smaller pulley. Mine is the smaller one.

If there is sound coming from your compressor, then its better to change to a new compressor. If there is no sound (metal grinding metal sound), then just changing the magnetic clutch is good enough.

Do I need to change the drive belt when I change the compressor?
@TCsAnythingGoes
@TCsAnythingGoes 4 жыл бұрын
i did not change the belt after I replaced the compressor. And there should not be any run in period for the compressor. Is your compressor new or reconditioned? Is it from Japan or China? When I did my research, we should always get back an original new compressor from Mitsubishi as the recondition ones is a gamble and China ones are just gonna last you 6 months to 2 years (or probably less based on some feedback i read) Idle problems after changing the compressor, there is a possibility that the compressor bearing is too tight or faulty hence causing extra load to the engine. But I can't really say for sure.

@@ivanalbanez1257 hmmm... i suggest to check if the bolts mounting the compressor is tight enough. Another thing I would suggest is to check if any of the AC line is touch the chassis.
