It's not UV, it's infrared radiation which gets reflected. Also instead of this paint. Get white cement and mix with fevicol and just paint on the roof. Will work the same and cheaper. Even west side walls also can be painted to reduce oven effect from sun. Check ambient temperature and room temperature, if room temperature is more, open windows for circulation.

Idhu dhandam. Instead of paying to corporates. Tie bamboo r waste PVC pipes randomly in ur terrace. Tie hard thread (sanal kayiru) in griss gross, grow vines (kodi vagaigal) & let it to climb & spread on thread densely. It will b a barrier & blocks sun exposure. Ur house won't get heat, also produce oxygen. U can use water from last rinse of cloth.

It drops room temperature by 2-6 C which in our state doesn't useful as 40 celcius a day inside is 36 celcius room temperature But we can walk on the paint barefoot at noon won't heatup

My father had this idea 4 years ago and painted terrace and tank with water, that white paint decreased the home temperature to some extent but not that much decreased, 4 yrars from now its still the same and water coming from tank doesn't and its so hot, so its not 100% efficient, still better to have AC

As per norms, cool roof paints will cover 1 Litter at 10 aquarium feet for 3 coats, 20 litter at 200 to 220 square feet for 3 coats, then only will achieve the proper thickness of coat then only we get full fill of cool roof coat benefits and water proofing. கொஞ்சம் யோசியுங்கள் இப்படி ஒரு பெயிண்ட் என்று சொல்லி விளம்பரம் பண்ணி அதிலும் வியாபாரம் செய்கிறார்கள். அந்த பெயிண்ட்தான் அடிக்க வேண்டும் என்று இல்லை. வெள்ளை கலரில் எந்த பெயிண்ட் அடித்தாலும் சூடாகாது. அதாவது வீடுகளுக்கு வெளிப்புறம் அடிக்கும் எமல்சன் பெயிண்ட் அடித்தாலே போதும். அதற்கும் வசதி இல்லாதவர்கள் 5kg வெள்ளை சுண்ணாம்பு வாங்கி ஒரு குடம் தண்ணீர் விட்டு டப்பாவில் ஊற்றி விளக்கமாத்தில் கூட்டி விட்டாலே போதும். டிரஸ் கொண்டு அடிக்க தேவையில்லை.
