In this video, I review and demo an AC to DC module from Hi Link. This can be used to power micro controllers requiring 5V Power.

Thanks for letting us know about this. I found the module both on Amazon in the US and from Aliexpress.

Hello Sir, Hope you must be having good experience about usage of this MODULE for your microcontroller PROJECTS. I wish to know your recommendation about using this MOUDLUE to POWER-UP any microcontroller like Arduino ? Can I use it for my microcontroller module ? ( Any advantage or disadvantage of using it ? Is there any noise issue etc etc ?)

Hi Samir! Thank you for posting your demonstration of Hi-Link. Could you please tell us how long have you used it (days? month?) without any problems? I also wonder to use it in my circuit but I'm aware of safety.

Is this safe and reliable? How long have you been using this?

This is as safe as any AC to DC module which are also part of usb chargers. The only thing you have to be very careful is the AC input, that you isolate it properly as will carry mains voltage.

Hi! How did you split the power for the relay and the hi-link, using what tools? Thanks!
@awesamphotography7688

This is wago lever nut which I prefer which is so easy to use. You can use other splitters as well. Basically all 3 inputs are connected by conductor, nothing else. It's like taking 3 wires and joining them.

Video is all good,e xcept for the lighting, and hope u can provide a diagram to the AC to other parts... using AC power has always been a worry for me, ive a number of time trip my main power supply when i have blown my ac/dc module. but this does look like very do-able.. are u using the AC to 5v/06A module to power the esp?

Where's the ac mains? How do you get power??
@SamirSogay
@SamirSogay 3 жыл бұрын
There are 2 pins for input and 2 for output. You connect ac to the input pins.

Hello sir, I follow your videos for Arduino based projects. I like your style of presentation. I am an Interior designer by profession and a technology enthusiast. I am going to start the construction of my own house after the corona curfew is lifted, and I wish to do some level of home automation in it. Can I contact you via email if I get stuck anywhere for help?

It should be able to charge but charge rate will depend upon the current which this module outputs

I connected it as mentioned... But when i checked with tester, it shows current passing through microcontroller and relay - both. Accidently if you touch it, you would get electric shock. Should it happen or there is something wrong in my connection?
@SamirSogay
@SamirSogay 6 жыл бұрын
AC will go to AC of module. Module will give DC output which will power the microcontroller. No way microcontroller gets AC. AC Live will go to relay Common and NO or NC.

Samir Sogay yes, i connected ac to ac only. Dc supply to microcontroller vin and gnd. Getting current in the microcontroller.
@dipaldpatel

My connections are : ac mains to ac of hlk-pm01, dc +ve to vin of nodemcu and relay +ve, dc -ve to gnd of nodemcu and relay -ve. From nodemcu d5 to relay input.

Hi, can this be used 24/7 for one arduino project, does it become hot?
@SamirSogay
@SamirSogay 5 жыл бұрын
I use mine for 24/7 but I never bothered to check the temperature. Just like you can use an AC to DC adapter the whole time, this module is just that.
