EVE Online - Jackdaw that can't be scanned? DED 4/10

I test a fit gifted to me that is supposedly not able to be scanned with combat scanner probes. Let test this out in a DED 4/10 in Low-sec.

I’ve conducted extensive experiments on scanning immunity. It’s well-known that the ratio of Sensor Strength to Signature Radius plays a key role in probing difficulty. In practice, increasing Sensor Strength or decreasing Signature Radius makes probing more difficult, but only up to a certain point. Once this threshold is reached, further adjustments have no additional impact on difficulty. For a Jackdaw, reaching this threshold is achievable with just one T2 Sensor Booster fitted with an ECCM script. Ships with the highest scanning difficulty are usually unprobeable, but with the Virtue Implant set, it’s possible to scan even these challenging targets.

It used to be that you couldn't be scanned down. But they changed it. Everyone is able to be scanned down but if you are at a certain point it requires a more and more dedicated setup.

IIRC Markee dragon did a test on ECCM scripts and while they do make it harder to be scanned somewhat, you can still be scanned down by someone with good scanning skills.

I can confirm i scammed people down in ventures in eh space that had multiple eccm scripts. Cities helped i believe.

​@@matthewminettihow many core strength did you have? Bc on my part I did some testing and even with core strength of 69 I was not able to scan down my alt bantam with 4 eccm script running. I was using tengu covert ops configuration. Sister expanded probe launcher and the new super expensive saturi thing combat probe, plus a scanning implant. My scanning skill is all 4 and my tengu is all lvl 5

I think they just help prevent you from being targeted quickly in PvP. I’m not sure they have any use when it comes to avoiding being scanned down by combat probes.

@@Lil_mar00 yeah I went back and looked up the video Markee did they don't stop you from being scanned. he called them poor man's cloaks before he ran the test.

My go-to for Combat Explo is my MLRS Jackdaw. Rockets are so much more fun that Light Missiles, imho. The DPS is great, application is great, and the range is good (20km w/ rage) for my purposes. Dual prop + active tank + cap stable means I can mostly face-tank the waves as they come. I was lucky and ran 1 Narcotics Warehouse and 2 Phi-Outposts in a single system, last night. Phi-Outpost Battleship is annoying to kill, but doesn't take too long and I have more than enough tank to focus the BB and ignore the rest.

They fixed unable to be scanned years back, the same patch when they made command links local effects only. Before that you had link ships that were providing links to the entire system without beeing able to get scanned.

The first reconnaissance officer has officer effects and very rarely faction module.

Hey Ace big fan of the channel and long time subscriber. For blitzing hisec anomalies I use a polarized auto cannon Tornado. Large turrets of course, then fill the lows with all dps and a couple tracking, the mids split with tracking and optimal range, rate of fire rig and increased volly damage rig. I know you don't multy box but I do, so I have a Gnosis remote sensor boost and shield rep my Tornado. I can get alot of escalations quickly this way and because it's so fast I can do non escalation sites and over a play session I do get a good faction drops. The Gnosis is great cause it has a tractor beam and extra ammo. Try it, just land at 30k, split your guns into two groups and watch how fast it goes.

You can add a painter but you will be blapping everything so fast it will only help with odd distance spawns. And if for some reason you drop it too close just burn away and the npcs will burn right at you like the trigs do at the wormholes.

I use auto targeting missiles for frigates and high damage missiles for bigger. Auto targeting missiles are great for farming escalations.

The high dps cruisers arent actually that high dps - it is just they also fire light missiles, so your speed isnt enough to mitigate the damage when they hit. Using T1 ammo and a 5MN drive, I was able to orbit at 50KM and easily kill everything, without my active tank really suffering any pressure - my fit IS cap stable. Mind you, I have done this site in a Garmur before now; THAT was a little trickier.

I was able to do those in a active tank punsiher. In high or low. nobody gonna suspect that. even as an alpah. its just take a while.I stop playing eve cause its too buggy for me.I remeber other folks also commented you can solo 4/10 in a frigates with the proper setup.

While your ship may not be scannable, the site becomes scannable by anyone as soon as you warp to it. So actually to jump on you a hunter only actually needs regular probes, not even combats, to probe you down.

perma scan resist was stopped in about 2010, it's harder to probe but not 100% anymore.
