Nice vid Acey! I never encountered a ganker and got this done in a couple of sessions. I just set my Dscan to 0.1 and warped to the gate. Popped the Dscan and if someone was on it I just moved to the next. I also carried the filaments so I just jumped to the next random system. Those filaments pop you into a random system normally quite quiet so you could get a few done. One night I was using the pally and the system had me in it and that was it I had 2 hrs of respawns all to myself. I also used a tengu to great effect with hams.

Don't forget, if a cruiser or destroyer drops in to steal your loot, you can just shoot your prize. Obviously try to tractor it in, but the ships that come to steal, have a mwd, so they are way faster than any tractor beam/ mtu. Mark the pilot red and after the first time, they'll probably leave you alone.

I use a rattle snake for this event, It has a very nice mwd on it. So I sit still until the frigs are dead and then I activate it and charge towards the BS. By the time he's dead I'm within range to loot the wreck. It's cap focused fit with shield booster and using a gecko for my drone. I've never lost a single gecko ( before anyone says anything about that)

Does this fit work for lowsec? And when I was using my pally I would always use the micro warp so I'm 100 off that way it gave me sometime to get off field before they burned into me.

Kept getting my battleship loot stolen as my Paladin was too slow (even with a tractor beam). Switched to the mining sites.

I've always wanted a reason to buy a Rattlesnake but the Ishtar easily does everything rat-related except for 8/10 or 10/10 DED, at which point you may as well just use a marauder 🙁

Seen crazy shit in this event, a golem with light navy drones, idk what that guy did but it fly to the boss 33km away like 2 seconds fast and dropped the shield like 2 or 3 shots before i warp away as my site got stolen. But that dps from light drone should be impossible. Also had met gankers at accelgate and I somehow escaped in the chaos of concord joining in. and oh yea they killed a few T2/faction bs that are farming this event too on zkill.

I shoot the loot when a can flipper comes into the site. I like to tractor the wreck half way, then blast it as they approach to steal. I’m just out here looking for content like everyone else.

Use a gecko man. You will clear the sites alot quicker.

Why doing it in a rattlesnake ? Instead of a Marauder ? I see no benefit. Less HP, less DPs and almost the same price. (Except maybe if you produce it but). Risk of loosing your ship you stand a better chance with Marauder (bcp people will think twice before tanking it especially if you fit it for PvP) and if they do gank it means that they likely take you down anyway so loss will be the same. But the kill mail will be different though 😅

The rattlesnake does better than the marauder and can go 900 m/s with the right fit. I've been using one all event and have done extremely well. I guess it comes down to personal preference.

But I’m questioning myself abt why go for an expensive drone boat on a envent where the NOC eat drones as primary targets. For cost or aloha status considerations I get why you should use vargur, praxis or even nightmare but if you have the skills (I should’ve began with this 😅) I really don’t see why you should prefer Rattlesnake over a Marauder (except for the rule of cool 😎) and even with Bastion mode you can slap a tractor beam. This was just my 2 cents on it , by no means Am I an Eve authority on this. Just a simple enjoyer

I can't enjoy normal drone boats anymore, the AI is so aggressive in targeting combat drones now, you have to really babysit and focus. Sentry drones still work but they suck vs smaller targets. Better to go for a ship that has guns, especially one that can select ammo/resist and doesn't need capacitor to fire...

Drones Tip on BS, do not send them before you have engaged and gotten FULL aggroe from the BS, then he will never go for them. If you send them first the BS will target and destroy them.
