Very fine video Fulvio, morse runner is a great program to practise with, when i joined the Royal Air Force in the UK, we had to take 60WPM for 3 minutes with ZERO errors, one error and you failed the course !!! Best 73.

Thank you very much for your kind message, Anthony! I wholeheartedly agree with you on the importance of knowing Morse code, especially for young radio amateurs. It's a skill that can be incredibly useful and rewarding, whether for rag-chewing, competitions, or simply for the enjoyment of the hobby. It's fascinating to hear about your personal experience with Morse code exams. I also had to take exams back in 1988, in Switzerland. We had to endure a rigorous test: 5 minutes of receiving and transmitting at 60 CPM (Characters Per Minute) with a maximum of 3 errors each, using a straight key. It required immense focus and precision. Thank you again for sharing your story and for appreciating my video. It's really encouraging to receive messages like yours, and I'm glad to know that the content I share is appreciated. 73 and happy radioing! Fulvio

Dear Anthony, Thank you so much for your kind words and for reaching out. I'm thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the video and are considering purchasing a Begali HST key to enhance your CW skills. It's truly a fantastic choice and will undoubtedly add a new dimension to your ham radio journey. It's wonderful to learn that you were part of the TM0HQ Team. I too was invited to the IARU HF contest as TM0HQ back in 2016. What a remarkable coincidence! It seems our paths in the contesting world have intertwined more closely than we initially realized. Piero Begali, I2RTF, is a remarkable individual, and I'm fortunate to know him personally as well. Visiting his factory and traveling with him during HST competitions has been an incredible experience. While Begali keys may come with a price tag, their quality, precision, and craftsmanship make them truly worthwhile investments. Once again, thank you for your kind words and for sharing your experiences with me. Feel free to reach out anytime, and let's keep the ham radio spirit thriving. Warm regards, Fulvio (HB9DHG)

@@hb9dhg Fulvio, appreciate you answering me, i was a member of the French team for over 10 years generally from the station of F6KNB, F6BEE or for the last few years from the qth of my friend Patrick F2DX who lives not too far from me. I will let you know when i buy the Begali and maybe one day we may meet up as i have friends in Switzerland near Neuchatel who are also radio amateurs as we operated as CN1C a few years back from Casablanca in a CQWW contest. Sometimes i have operated using the C37N call and C37NL which is great fun as the pile-ups are non-stop !! The last real Dx-Pedition i went on was to Macau, XX9TLY which was a great laugh with some great guys from Spain. Have a good week my friend, i am off to walk our dog and later this evening spend an hour with 'morserunner'. Best 73s es Ciao.

Very good video and amazing content. I did not hear where I can purchase the Belarus Key. I like the idea that it is a key and a keyer combined. Thank you in advance.

Hello Peter, I really appreciate your reply. I have a contact in Belarus, but it looks like he didn't reply to some of my emails for several months now. I'm looking to find him as I have to order them for some friends! Fingers crossed man. 73 HB9DHG Fulvio

@@hb9dhgThank you for replying. Let's hope that person answers. I would love to try that key out. How does it compare to the Begali MST Mark III?

@@PeterMelton Hello Peter, Thank you very much for your prompt response. Regarding the Key, I hope to hear back from my contact, otherwise, I have a key here that I could also sell. As for the comparison between the Begali MST Mark III and the Belarus Key, I have some considerations to make, primarily based on my experience during the HST championships. The Begali key is undoubtedly a work of art. The mechanics and the research behind it are unique and unparalleled. The stability of the contact movements is unmatched, at least from my point of view. The Belarusian key not only has the "mechanical" part but also the automatic keyer part. This makes the difference between the two keys. The mechanics of the Belarusian key are not bad, but the contacts, for example, can lose their quality depending on their usage (but they can still be replaced, as I did with my key). Then, there's the electronics keyer aspect. It's like having a K1el interface connected to the key. Everything is seamless; you connect a USB power cable, the stereo Jack output to the radio, and an audio socket that allows you to work offline and practice. In short, both keys are unique, but the mechanics of the Begali key is perfect for me. I'll stop here because I have more things to say, but I'd be too boring. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to contact me offline. You can find all the information on my QRZ.com profile. Best regards. HB9DHG Fulvio

Ciao Fulvio e grazie per il video non ho capito se con HST2006 si possa usare un keyer esterno (winkeyer compatibile) oppure l'entrata del tasto sia diretta nell'input della scheda audio. Grazie in anticipo, 73 de IU3QOA Riccardo

Buon allenamento amico mio! 73 HB9DHG
