I Always thanked Tom Friedman for sharing his ideas anywhere he goes, I hope one day Tom visits the Philippines and tell something about our country. Listening to him is always worth the time.

There should be a policy for a company that makes over a certain amount of capital, they must have philanthropy mandate. Where its benefits the masses in new job creations, education, and charities. That should create a economic equality.

I absolutely loved his talk especially the last part when he advises people to: 1) think like an immigrant and stay hungry 2) PQ and CQ beats IQ, i.e., passion and curiosity always beat IQ 3) think like an entrepreneur 4) think like an artisan (take pride in what you're doing) 5) always be in beta (think, improving, learning and relearning).

Awesome talk!! Big thank and respects for Mr. Friedman. Hopefully more and more my fellow Taiwanese people, especially the youth, can learn from the advises given by Mr. Friedman. And hopefully the isolated Taiwan can be more globally-aware in the future. God bless Taiwan. 台灣加油!!

I had some annoying thoughts and took another look. He misses some important issues and solutions but I try an look at all angles and approaches.

David Markham One of the issues he misses is the fact that there are more "average" people than there are "super dooper pooper ultra high tech faster than the speed of thought" technophiles in the world. The "average" people get squeezed out.The "average" people ban together. The "average" people revolt and overthrow the assholes in charge. The populace descends into a dark age of mass anarchy. The cycle repeats but never remains constant.

The most important thing that happened in 2001 was CHINA joining WTO and not what this Guy is saying . With China joining WTO suddenly there were 800 million Chinese working in manufacturing 12 hrs a day at 3.5$ an hour as a result American workers became overpriced even though they got goods cheaper at Walmart but what use is cheaper goods if you don’t get a proper salary.

It won't be long before automation replaces those chinese workers as well.

+Robin Evans Thanks for your candor. I read a few of his books and his articles , but I never knew the extent of his fraudulent positions in (e.g. corporate expansionist/war hawk). I viewed him as a reporter on the effects of globalization and America's place in the world. But after your explanation, he's just a run-of-mill charlatan it sounds like to me. Thanks again!
