A Cappella Academy has been mentoring young singers from around the world for 10 years this month. Some have gone on to have their own musical careers (including one young woman from the first 2 years of ACA who is now a teacher, coach and arranger at ACA, and she actually had a Grammy nomination shortly after leaving ACA and continuing her college education). The 3 ACA Dads, as the kids affectionately refer to them every year, are deeply invested in the annual summer program. For example, as he always does, Avi scheduled his US and European tours this year so that he can be at the 10-day classes coming up, where he teaches writing, arranging, and bass vocals. Here's Avi showing off his 2023 bass class with a YT Short of "Hoist the Colors". Keep in mind that these young men are all 18 and younger. For those of you who aren't familiar with A Cappella Academy, here's a video that was done a few years ago, encouraging young singers to audition for the next year's classes. And yes, they do need to send in audition videos, following the instructions on what to include. The tapes are all then reviewed by the ACA Dads and staff to choose who will be able to have the learning experience of a lifetime.
