Everytime I watch this, the more mad I get that GRV won. Im a big GRV fan, but damn Pharside, this piece killed the whole show off. AOV is the clenest team for how hard they hit, and they are so much more well rounded. AOV better come for that GRV head at VIBE. Judges better get their shit together!

hey bro, no worries, im not upset at all :) i agree with the one to many air moves we did, and it was only there to get the crowd hyped. I dont need stunts in our routine, never felt as if we needed to depend on them. But i do come from a bboy background, and our STUNT routines, are used in competitions, as if we where battling... and to bring a different look then the typical choreography group. AOV has all different types of dancers such as, krump, house, popping, bboy, locking. only right to

please people learn your history with dance before saying what is and what isnt dance. this is a choreography competition, "definition" Choreography is the art of designing sequences of movements in which motion, form, or both are specified. most people who take choreography classes cant even freestyle... AOV can also freestyle. :)

LOL im not being defensive i stated my thoughts already...so please dont speak for me. By the way gymnastics and cheerleaders is doing basket toss and back handsprings. where doing something a little more different then that, with our little twist. Because that would mean crews such as jinjo and pokemon would be cheerleaders and gymnasts as well... but thats not the case...
@RodZilla1111 жыл бұрын
This kinda like the cheerleader competition on ESPN. Definitely clean and exciting but I don't know if this qualifies as dancing.

The knee drop would work. Not as cool or unique as the move they did, but I could see it. The pause wouldn't really work though. It'd work if the music had a shift after CHECK THIS OUT which would coincide with an elevated level of choreo, but the music before has pretty much the same intensity as the music after, so going harder wouldn't have much effect. Given that you suggested a knee drop though, I'm thinking you don't really mean 'no tricks' so much as 'not so many flips'. Right?
@kidhobbies354710 жыл бұрын
It seems as if the original academy of villains from hhi had their own style and got to show that to many others and those who wanted to be in the group, if they were good enough, they would get in. for example in the group at about 75% in the dance the group with the tutting had so many people there were two groups.

I didn't say AOV were cheerleaders and gymnasts, just that you used moves in this set that they made popular before b-boys did. Your reaction to that was disappointing, tbh. When y'all are dancing, it's like you're saying "Hell yeah we do tricks. We fucking OWN that shit!" Then you come on here and you're all, "We don't need stunts... we do other styles too... b-boy history..." Why so apologist? Not saying there's not room for improvement, but take pride in your style. It's awesome as is.

I'm not trying to dictate your reaction or anything, but with the words you chose it seemed like you were throwing your stunts under the bus to defend your choreo. And I'm sitting here reading your comments and thinking, "But I like this piece as a WHOLE!" You know what I mean? It'd be like Jordan getting on a vid and saying "just so you know, I'm aware that I didn't have to switch hands mid-air to make that layup." Anyway, I'm glad to see what you're saying now.

Lol, no need to change your tune now, Pharside's just being defensive. Gymnasts and cheerleaders were using most of the moves you're complaining about before b-boys were. I'd call them stunts personally, but there's no shame in calling them something like tricks to distinguish them from the rest of the choreo. However, i disagree that they're unnecessary since they go with the music so well. I mean what else did you want in the parts of the songs that say "DROP" or "CHECK THIS OUT"?
@ACADEMYOFVILLAINS11 жыл бұрын
LOL my reaction? who gives a fuck about my reaction... what was my reaction post to be? I know what i like and ill continue to do it, regardless of anybody saying this or that. But please dont think im apologizing to any one. Re read my comments a little more closer... I said we dont need to rely on "stunts" in our routines, you would know that we get no points in choreography competitions for any "stunts" we do. "I JUST LIKE FUCKIN STUNTS" :) and our dance speaks for it self....
