Thank you Ian for the time and effort you put into sharing you expertise and experience. It is great seeing a well run, thoughtful operation. I’m a small backyard beekeeper and love seeing how a big operation works. Well done.

The A team at work I like the way you keep /farm your bees. Like your cattle, stores in one unit, heffers in another, cows with calfs at foot that way they get what they need in that unit. Nice refreshed stock👍

Wow that's all I can say! Thank you for the great videos and for your dedication to share your information and wealth of bees with us. You have definitely made a difference in how I manage my bees and have given me the tools I need to be successful. Still lots to learn but I feel I'm getting a basic understanding of the life cycle of a bee, and how to successfully manage my hives. You can read all the books you like but practical hands-on experience has no exception put this information to real-world applications. Especially in our Northern climate.

The softball sized nuc growth was amazing. About the size of my first swarm capture that is in a nuc. Been watching them bring in pollen for 3 weeks. Just holding off opening cuz the extra rains we are getting is making everything bloom again. Sure want to see the same growrh you are sharing.

Thank you for responding, everything being uniform does that mean deeps or medium. As we have deep (brood box), medium for honey or brood and a honey super, quite small. Hope makes sense! Thank you.

Imagine for a minute that that truck load of pollen sub you fed never showed up. That's exactly what happened. Mann Lake kept promising and delaying until I finally gave up. Little things like that kill an apiary.

Hopefully in your busy period you have time to answer this question.do you use the same size brood boxes as you do your honey boxes so frames etc are all the same? Do you use mediums or deeps for both? Thank you and great videos, really appreciated.

At 7:00 you took a box off, shook the nurse bees off the hatching brood frames, put the frames into a new box, then sat the new box of old frames with dislodged nurse bees in the base, back on the base....what was the reason?

When you talk about adding seconds is it to take more splits or are these honey supers? I’m seeing a good amount of fresh nectar being brought in here in NW Ontario!

Can I pick your brain for advice . I live in Michigan and my brood building is slow and my bees are still clustering at night . What can I do to promote building and health . I had many replace the old queen this spring and the hives are about half of what they where coming out of winter .. am I expecting to much on many new queens and be patient or is there something I can do to help them . I have syrup on and Dadant brood building patties on .. I really like how you are doing bee nutrition

What are the dimensions of your six frame nuc? You're using 1" (3/4") pine. What's the width? Oh, and what a predicament that you have too many bees.

I did not understand how you split your double brood box hives. Do you just take the second and make a split out of it or do you make nucs of them?

Mr. Canadian beekeeper, you and all other beekeepers like you are the worst enemies of the poor bees. You are literally torturing and bullying the innocent bees. Go and educate yourself first about bees and then try to do beekeeping. Just stop this bee-inquisition man.....
