Mel B and Victoria's lower registers were used... Geri doesn't quite have the range to go either way, she can't go as low as Victoria, let alone Mel B and she can't get to Emma or Mel C's vocal highs. Actually, she can't get to Victoria's vocal highs either as the nixed Victoria's part from Holler rather than have Geri sing it. And the reason Victoria took over Geri's verse in 2 Become 1 was partly because she didn't get a verse in Wannabe and partly because Victoria could hit the higher notes easier (it apparently took a while for Geri to nail it in the studio and they didn't have time to go through that again).

She struggled to keep up vocally. I don’t think Victoria and Geri had the same issues. Geri wasn’t as gifted vocally as the rest and she worked super hard to keep up so and she knew that. Victoria was actually really decent at the beginning and throughout the Spice Girls, her confidence shrunk more and more and her vocals suffered because of it.

I think that Geri definitely did improve and you can hear it on her reunion tour with the girls in the late 2000s, but on that tour I don't think Victoria really sang Live at all. It's sad that they kind of switch personalities and then by the time 2019 came around Geri wasn't singing at all either on the reunion tour

@@JaiProdz agreed! They both had confidence issues just for very different reasons. I mostly hate it for Victoria since she had a, in my opinion, rich and unique tone and voice. Either way, I hope we get to see the five of them together again soon with both Geri and Victoria singing live with all of the confidence in the world. They may not be the best, but they’re amazing performers and that’s what it’s all about.

That's fine. All of them had very different vocal takes. Geri was at her best a lounge singer. Mel C was the pop diva. Emma was the retro-60s sweetness, Mel B was the warmer and grittier urban vibe, Victoria gave us musical theater chorus girl. Vic's audition song was Mein Herr.

Why have we never,ever heard one of them sing solo??? They took a lot of money from people for tickets to their ‘concerts”. I have been asking fans if they have ever gone to their concerts twice, and I found about 15 people that have. Most concert goers just go to see their costumes, cleavage, and legs…NOT their music. Beckham is not a pretty lady and cannot sing on pitch. There is NO VIBRATO in any of their voices that I can hear. Their harmony is just all of them singing over eachother and it’s just chaos. I don’t care for the group at all. These are just my opinions.
