Grew up listening to this song as a little girl and I loved this particular one because of this line. Didn't know what it meant but loved it. Just remembered it today and decided to look for the song and here I even get to read the real thing they sang. Thank you for this. At least I won't have to bite my tongue when singing it again.

It does, doesn’t it? I never thought of that. My parents had this album when I was a kid. We used to listen to it all the time on car trips. A lot of times, we’d listen to the whole album, but sometimes, whether it was my mom I was riding with, my dad, or both, sometimes, they’d put the album on and specifically just play this song for me because I loved it so much. I still come back to it every so often. I always loved that this group blended so many styles, from old doo-wop styles to African and Jamaican influences. Shame they broke up. They were so good.
