@@MarkDeSade100 No soundcheck, unfortunately. Despite being a great seat, my ticket didn’t come with VIP perks thanks to Ticketmater and IVE being lame with their ticket sales. It’s stupid you need to pick between a best seat or VIP seat (or buy 2 tickets to get both!).

​@@SonicAwareness Did you actually buy the tickets from Ticketmaster? I think you need to hear my story! I've been to several Kpop concerts before (Twice twice, Red Velvet, Blackpink, Sunmi and the Krazy Kpop Super Concert where IVE performed last year) and I was never able to get VIP. I couldn't get good seats through Ticketmaster so I bought them from a reseller site called VividSeats, and Ticketmaster's stupid policy states that resold tickets lose any VIP benefits. So I assumed it was impossible and I never tried to get them. But for this concert, I was determined to try so I talked to the guy at the VIP booth, told him straight up that the name on my ID would not match his list because I bought the tickets through VividSeats, and he was fine with it! He told me to show him my tickets in the Ticketmaster app and then he gave me the VIP lanyard and wristband. So even if you think you can't get the VIP options, it's worth trying!

Yujin crying made me emotional😭reminded me of IZ*One last concert...BUT we have many many years to come with IVE!! I love how Yujin expresses herself so honestly in front of us. She cried when IVE got domestic awards too. Rei is so cute as usual. Dont worry Rei, DIVES will always show up for IVE. Gaeul, Liz and Leeseo were amazing too. Liz looks great with pigtails. Loved the unit and solo stages. That 7 rings stage was fire! Also damn you got so close with Wonyoung, Im kinda jealous😂 thats my bias right there! the fans dancing was good and fun! Loved the IVE hug. Everyone's energies were amazing, IVE ajd DIVE. Im glad Leeseo's dreams came true~ you worked hard too! Thanks for recording and uploading, the quality is amazing. yujin is definitely the member that stands out the most on stage, her skills as a performer are the strongest in the group by far. other members may have various reasons for catching people’s attention, whether that be expressive facials, strong vocals or dancing, but yujin is the only one who consistently delivers in all those categories. as a side note, i think people often confuse finding a member pretty with them actually having stage presence. just because you enjoy looking at their face doesn’t mean they’re a skilled performer. there’s a clear difference between members who rely on looking pretty and members who are actually feeling the music, embodying the concept and showing consistent passion for being onstage.

If people were only talking about visuals when mentioning stage presence then every single kpop idol would be considered as having great stage presence. Pretty visuals are a dime a dozen in kpop. And artistry is subjective, someone that you think is embodying the concept may not be the same person that someone else agrees on. hello! thank you for this video, the quality is awesome! 🤩i am planning to attend one of their stops during the europe tour, and recently upgraded to iphone 15 pro max for this, so i was surprised to see that you used this phone for your fancam. i have seen some other fancams with iphone, but there always seemed to be a slight distortion or blurriness/grainy quality which i assumed was due to the low lightning/dark arena. though i wasn't sure if it could also be due to how some platforms (like twitter or tiktok for example) sometimes compress videos and make them appear less high resolution when uploading, if the files are bigger than 1080p. i saw your replies to other comments, and didn't realise that there would be such a big difference between filming with the normal camera app and filmic pro app! i am very tempted to try out the filmic pro app now and familiarise myself with it. would you say that it is hard to learn how to use the app? are there any particular settings or additional tips that you have for filming during concerts? lastly, may i know if you filmed it with 4k 30fps or 4k 60fps? thank you again for this fancam 💖

Filmic Pro is simple to use. I don't know much about filmography (ISO, ratios, etc.) so I let it all run on auto. If you DM me on insta or twit I can share my screenshots of the settings. I film everything in 4K60. I personally think K-pop needs 60fps.. people will argue that you can get a better, smoother video at 30fps, but I want every possible frame to capture everything these girls are working so hard to do for us.. the gestures, the winks, the eye contact.. everything. A huge mistake I see a lot of fan cammers making -- besides using the basic Camera app -- is poor post-production editing. If you are going to do ANYTHING -- trimming, merging, combining, cropping, adding a watermark, etc. -- you need to know what you're doing and use the right tools. Most people are ruining their videos by not understanding how encoding works with 264/265 video types. I think watermarks are obnoxious and stupid to begin with, but the amount of people I see literally ruining the quality of their video on top of inserting their name into video is just so sad. I highly recommend uploading your raw files directly to KZbin unless you know exactly what you're doing. And if you are going to start editing video, you should always check your output: Open your source in QuickTime at an exact, high energy moment. Then open your edited video and find that EXACT same frame. Alt-Tab (or Command-Tab) back and forth and ensure that your vidoe output is 100% identical. You should see pixel-by-pixel 100% the same video.. if not you're losing quality. I learned this the hard way this summer. Some of my TRI․BE videos, while I think they are GREAT, are actually lower quality on KZbin than the source files are because I wasn't smart about my post-production workflow cutting/merging clips. I don't write this wall of text to scare you but rather to encourage you to practice, test, and learn how video encoding and processing truly works. As long as you do that last step I mentioned above -- Alt-Tab and compare pixels in a single same frame across your source and your output -- and the video is 1:1, then you're good! If not.. then you know you need to do something differently in your workflow, or just upload the raw video without trimming, cropping, merging, etc., until you can get it right.

@@SonicAwareness wow thank you for the detailed and informative reply! i really appreciate this wall of text (thank you for taking the time to reply!) and will try to take your advice into consideration. i’ll dm you on twitter for the settings if that’s okay! 😊 great points about the post-production workflow - now when you mention it, i did notice that many fancams uploaded to twitter/tiktok usually with watermark seemed to have lower resolution than those without watermark. i’m also assuming that they export the video in the wrong format as well, hence the quality change? personally i like to put watermark on my own fancams because i’ve had cases where people have stolen my videos and reposted them without credit and permission, and then receiving higher engagement than when i post the same videos to my own channels so it’s more of a preventative measure 🥲 but i’ve also seen many youtuber vlogs that have text / captions on their vlogs and the quality of the video suffering from that, so you’re right about it being super important to take output into consideration 🤯 have you seen the youtube fancams by wonyoung’s fansite calles ”want”? (@/want.wonyoung). although i’m sure they use another type of camera, i love the way they incorporate typography seamlessly but without the videos losing its quality. i’m hoping i’ll be able to achieve that level of skill one day!! ☺️ i’ll look up more about the encoding, video types and output and try your recommended method of comparing the pixels! i have graphic design background and i’ve done some basic videoediting (for vlogging) though i would say that videography and knowing the correct formats/camera settings/how to save your video files correctly and such has always seemed intimidating to me so i’ve never really taken the time to actually learn. but it’s definitely something i want to get better at and i’ll for sure incorporate your advice! thank you again for taking the time to reply and for all the valuable advice!!! ☺️ keep up the great work!

You inspired me to do fan cams. My setup is similar but I use Blackmagic app. Recording in 4k60 HDR my iPhone 15 pro max can overheat in field testing so I mount a MagSafe fan cooler/charger. Wondering if you experience any heating issues while recording?

You are doing an amazing job 💜 I use Filmic Pro which doesn't allow lens swap like BlackMagic, so there could be some hardware heat happening there as you change lenses with BM. But, may I also offer the following suggestions, if you aren't doing it already: 1) Restart your phone, ideally as close to the show as possible, but, really, even if you did it 20 minutes before, it's better than not. Once you do that.. 2) Go in Airplane Mode (no cellular, wifi, or bluetooth). 3) Go in DND. 4) Set your screen brightness as low as possible, 20% max unless you have trouble seeing. 5) Close all other apps. You basically want to turn your smart phone into a dumb camera. If you get to the point where you aren't recording full videos or you need to edit/stich/trim/merge/combine/crop/etc., please reach out to me on SNS (twitter, instagram, whatever), and I can provide some advice on not ruining your videos. I would say 80-90% of KZbin fancammers are destroying their HD video with poor post-production, and I'd hate to see your hard work fall into that trap. Keep up the amazing work! (PS - I'm going to be experimenting with BlackMagic tonight! I don't know much about filmography (ISO, Shutter, etc.) so I've been a bit intimidated as it doesn't have much for "Auto Mode".. I'm scared I'll pick the wrong settings, whereas Filmic Pro just goes on on auto-pilot. BM offers lens swap, though, which is something I desperately need. I feel like an expert (famous last words lol) with FP, so I think it will take me a handful of events before I get "equal" results with BM.. but I've got some lower-priority, lower-interest concerts I can practice with so I'm going to do that. Let's keep inspiring each other to shoot better cams!)

​@@SonicAwareness Thanks for the tip! I probably have a bunch of apps running in the background (like Pokemon Go, lol). For my current setup I use a Neewer phone cage and mount a discreet handle. I mount the handle at the bottom as an L bracket rather than vertical to avoid security thinking that it's a "selfie stick." It was my first time doing so in Twice in Vegas and security didn't blink an eye to it. The handle at the bottom also allows me to lift the camera higher as I am a short person (pro tip: I used 2.5" risers during Twice and wore ankle high hiking shoes (sorry Onces behind me!). Side note: I will be attending Itzy and IU in June and July in Chicago. I'm debating if I will go to Lollapalooza for VCHA though. Let me know if you'll be in any of these events. tl;dr for using Blackmagic: Twice was my first time using Blackmagic and this setup after field testing. See my comments below about audio gain settings and over-exposure. Lens: Mostly on the telephoto lens and extreme stability as I was sitting further away from stage (I'd say 30 yards from front stage and 40 yards from rear stage). extreme stability does have a significant delay in the preview screen, but I was still able center in on the performers. If the delay is too much for you then switch to either Cinematic or standard. Switching between lens, unfortunately, causes a millisecond delay when recording in 4K, but I trim the delay out in edit. Sound: I'm recording audio on binaural usbc mics. They look like headphones but are really left and right mics that mount to my ears. This is my first time using this set up so had to learn how to adjust audio gain. You'll notice my original VCHA recording has awful sound since I didn't adjust the gain and there were higher tones that were out of range. If set properly, I believe this mic captures better bass sound and vocals when I compared against iPhone Mics. Blackmagic allows you to select the microphone other than the default. And selecting a mic other than default allows you to adjust audio gain settings. The trick is to keep that audio gain to about -6 to -10 (yellow range) and avoid too much out of range audio from coming in (red range). Since the concert sound will vary I have to actively manage this manually. This is the main reason I use Blackmagic as it gives me sound capture controls. I noticed that there isn't much difference from your sound as it appears you are much closing to the speakers than I was. This is the mic I use: www.amazon.com/SONICPRESENCE-SP15C-USB-C-Stereo-Microphone/dp/B08LG3MRM3 FPS and Shutter Speed: I read that shooting 30 fps in 4K is better for low light but I actually find that 4k60 is best as I can shoot at 1/120 shutter speed that helps reduce over exposure. That fps and shutter speed also makes for video stills to look nearly like taking photos. The general rule is to double the shutter speed from your FPS. So 60 FPS would ideally use 1/120. Or at 30 FPS then 1/60. If you're using "angle" shutter settings instead of speed settings then lock it in at 180 degrees. I personally like the shutter speed to read in speed rather than angle. Higher shutter speed means less light coming in one frame. So the theory is lowering the speed would capture more light. However, I saw at 30 fps and 1/60 speed I found it to be overexposed as the stage does have a lot of light. So a higher shutter speed helps reduce over-exposure. ISO and exposure settings: For ISO settings, I turn on the zebra overlay at 90%. Any zebra stripes means too much light and results in over exposed faces. I pay attention to the girls' faces to ensure no over exposure. The general rule is to keep the ISO at a minimum to avoid "noise", but with the zebra stripes I target the brightest setting without over-exposure. I found that with the stage being so bright my ISO setting is generally 100 and below, but will need to adjust to higher values if the stage has darker lighting. White balance and tint: This setting is critical and should be locked after hitting the record button. Generally, higher white balance values results in warmer (red/orange) colors while lower values results in cooler (blue/white) colors. Tint should be close to 0, but I use 10 as I like a warmer color. The trick is to set this to auto initially to let the app find the best starter White balance value and then manually adjust to your taste or best color grade. I think the pros uses a color palette to compare against. I generally see this be above 5000K and black magic has a setting at 5600K. But if you like a cooler temperature then maybe between 4000 and 5000. Again, lock this setting when recording after you made your adjustments. You can adjust this during recording in case you want to change it. There are more YT video tutorials out there and I am not an expert at all. The above are just my personal opinions and experiences.

No stabilizer.. I'm watching the concert primarily, but I try to keep my phone in the direction of the action. Sometimes I'll focus specifically on the phone to track someone across the stage in the encore (Wonyoung), but usually I'm more focused on the event happening in front of me versus what's being captured on my phone.

@@kaorii10 The basic Camera app is ok in non-dynamic, well-lit areas for short periods of time. For concerts where the light varies and is often not ideal, it's definitely trash. Also: It randomly cuts out at times, forcing you to hit Record again and lose all the moments in between hitting record again. And if you're trying to enjoy a concert, you don't want to be worried about whether your camera is working properly. I filmed a concert and a fan sign recently with the basic Camera app, just to make sure I wasn't crazy, and, yeah, it sucks as much as I am saying. It's also a huge bitch to work with the files generated by Apple when filming using their app. Filmic Pro has its own issues, but it's way better than Apple Camera. I am going to learn BlackMagic one day, but it doesn't have an idiot-proof mode and you have to somewhat set things up manually so you need to know a bit about filming to do it right. Until I master BlackMagic, my Filmic Pro results will be better. What I really need to do is find some bands/artists I don't care that much about and practice with BlackMagic, so if the results don't come out I won't be too disappointed. I've just been so busy following my ults around the last month that I haven't hadt he chance!
