ACB 18th Anniversary and Tree planting

In celebration of the 18th anniversary of the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity (ACB), Secretary-General Dr. Kao Kim Hourn visited the ACB Headquarters on Sunday, 10 September 2023, and took part in the festivities.
High-ranking officials from embassies of ASEAN Member States and ASEAN dialogue partners in the Philippines were also present, along with representatives from the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
ACB Executive Director Dr. Theresa Mundita Lim welcomed the Secretary-General and the dignitaries with a brief but informative programme, and led everyone in the tree-planting activity in line with the objective of the ASEAN Green Initiative, a flagship programme of the ASEAN.
The celebration of the ACB’s anniversary was supported by GIZ Philippines and the Pacific Island Countries through the project 𝘐𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘚𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘉𝘪𝘰𝘥𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘚𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘳 𝘪𝘯 𝘈𝘚𝘌𝘈𝘕 𝘐𝘐.
