Pretty sure either of them watched SMU play. 4:25 evaluate them by watching film. Film doesn’t lie. Trust that over stats that no one knows how they calculated. 5:21 the wonders of actually looking into something before you say something 😮

A playoff berth is not the only thing worth playing for in College Football. If I am a team like SMU, who has no chance of winning the Natty, I would gladly risk my playoff berth for a chance to win a very winnable ACC Championship.

Why would you say SMU isn't able to win the natty? Top 15 defense and one of the best offenses in the country since switching QBs.

I’m no smu fan but it’s not really their fault that fsu crapped the bed. Also when you get to the sec nonsense, how easy is it for a sec team to be ranked and hold on to it even while losing. Happens every week. A self fulfilling prophecy

Teams should not be selected based on “brand”. The NFL does not select teams based on brand.

Use common sense. SMU has played a terrible schedule. If SMU loses this game in Clemson's backyard in a competitive manner you might put them in. If SMU gets beaten badly, SMU should sit home. Truth be told, neither of these teams are close to being the 12th best. However, the objective is not to get the 12 best. Ole Miss and a host of other teams that won't get in would be 7 point favorites against either of these teams. Using these guys logic , why punish good teams for playing tough opponents. If Vanderbilt were in the ACC they would be a contender. I do think Georgia Tech is the most underrated team in the ACC. From a talent perspective, and home field environment, Clemson has no excuse to lose this game regardless of what some boy in Vegas thinks.
