@MadFlenser just because you feel lactic acid build up/ tearing your muscles in a certain body position, doesnt mean you are making that body part stronger/ training that body part. eg. sometimes the day after i go running my shoulders ache, but i am not particularly increasing the strength of my shoulders.

That last guy... ive never ever seen such talent like that. You have to watch him 3 times just to let it sink in what he actually done
@devilaces16 жыл бұрын
its cool that this video showed full attempts instead of just 4 second clips of powerful moves strung one after the other. also it looked like the last guy learned from the mistakes of the first 2 guys.
@MadFlenser13 жыл бұрын
@daniel25001 in fact, your shoulders were being trained, via arm swing, resistence to gravity after each step etc. as soon as it is your muscle (not a tendon) being put through an unfamiliar and strenuous movement, it will try to improve it's working condition. In fact, a lot of people who start jogging more intensely will feel muscle ache in their back, shoulders, abs and even biceps, untill the torso comes to terms with the strain running places on it.

The guy who did last is Sang-won Son, probably the strongest boulderer in South Korea. What an amazing guy.. Make my palms get sweaty!

Amazing, i do a bit of indoor bouldering my self, but nothing any where near this level.
@MadFlenser13 жыл бұрын
@daniel25001 hi, you have some misconceptions here. I do not know if you do any sports, so some of what i say may already be known to you. to answer your question: climbers train for high muscle endurance, and a hight strength/bodyweight ratio. this also means that all their muscles should be kept equally strong. In fact, their triceps are trained through all the isometric support/hanging positions. Try gripping and hanging with arms as far apart as in the clip- youll feel it in your triceps
@MrSkillz99313 жыл бұрын
@daniel25001 It's something like they do specific workouts to be strong and light because you don't have to have a huge cut body to be strong. I'm not sure about it but my science teacher does this kind of shit and he mentioned some crap like that.
@JmurphOne13 жыл бұрын
@daniel25001 I think you'll find most good climbers have incredibly defined biceps & triceps as well as strong forearms and chests. Obviously the size varies depending on the climbers build so some are more noticable than others.

@Crankingggg13 жыл бұрын
@JmurphOne uh not really? triceps are made by doing pushing exercises, climbers dont need to push so they dont usually have triceps which means their biceps dont stand out very well.

I think strength was more of a factor than thought. Although pure technique may have solved the problem more easily, dude at the end just campused the problem. That's all there is to it.

@redlerb I agree, you should see this as a different sport altogether
@MadFlenser13 жыл бұрын
@daniel25001 actually, that's pretty much exactly what it means. If the muscles are worked on a regular basis beyond their momentary level of strength, they will react bay strengthening the muscle fibres. It should also be noted that the size of the muscle says almost nothing about it's relative strength. relative, not absolute, remember- while these guys are some of the strongest athletes pound for pound, their absolute strength is probably far inferior to that of a powerlifter.
@sourloki13 жыл бұрын
Are you sure he got to see it? In competition climbs, aren't other competitors kept from seeing the path until it's their turn to climb for that exact reason?
