Ma'am can you please tell me what is a Saturated Market. And in which stage of the life can we say that the market related to the product has become saturated and what are its implications?

Market saturation means a product cannot be sold because there r no possible customers. Changes in technology & customer preferences lead to market saturation. If u think about any product say cars, refrigerator, mobile phones....are we buying the same models that existed many years back? As new models come up, there will not be any customers for the old models. Hence the 'decline stage' occurs when there is market saturation. Now, u might encounter the word 'market saturation' in the market skimming pricing strategy also (i.e. selling at high prices initially & once markets are saturated, selling at lower prices)This refers to the niche market saturation or premium market saturation. This happens during the later part of the maturity phase. Hence the meaning of 'market saturation' has to be determined based on the context.

ok, if only 'market saturation' is mentioned... take it as the 1st situation because strictly speaking the 2nd situation should be rightfully termed as 'niche market saturation'. Further do check the question once again.....it is incomplete. The statement is '"Maturity Stage occurs when the Market for the product has reached its Saturation Point." AND BOUGHT ENOUGH OF THE PRODUCT. The words ' bought enough of the product' gives us the hint that they are referring to a situation where there are no more customers or the 1st situation. Hence the statement is false as it is the decline stage that occurs when there are no more customers.
