Recently resat this exam for the 4th time & failed it yet again. I’m actually tempted to just throw the towel in because I’ve genuinely had enough. Was hoping to see the back of this module because I loathe it with the passion, I can put my money on finals papers being a lot nicer than this one. Unless someone is out there, help me because I am honestly going to have a breakdown caused by this module. Bet I’ve set a world record of number of fails for ACCA FM!

We understand your frustration and disappointment with not passing the exam despite multiple attempts. Setbacks are a normal part of learning, and many successful people have faced similar challenges. Instead of giving up, take some time to reflect on your study approach and consider seeking guidance from instructors, tutors, or peers who have succeeded. Don't hesitate to seek emotional support from friends, family, or a counselor. Remember, exams don't define your worth, and it's important to take care of your well-being. Stay positive, motivated, and with perseverance and the right support, you can overcome this obstacle and succeed in your ACCA FM exam.

Effective studying tips: Create a study schedule and stick to it. Break down your study material into smaller, manageable chunks. Engage in active learning techniques like summarizing and teaching. Practice with past papers to familiarize yourself with the exam format. Seek clarification for difficult concepts. Take breaks and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Join study groups or find a study partner for support. Test yourself regularly with quizzes and mock exams. Stay positive and manage stress effectively. Best of luck with your studies! ❤️

@@financeskul I get your point but this will be my fifth exam sitting of this module?! That’s right, fifth sitting…..fifth sitting for FM is unheard of surely, you cannot tell me anyone else has failed this module 4 or more times?! Prior to this one I’ve only had to retake PM & Tax, and passed both on the second attempts. Fifth sitting just seems mind-boggling. I literally did all the above & have studied hard each time, studied even harder for the June 2023 sitting but got no reward. Guarantee the examiners who have marked my FM papers have said to themselves “oh, him yet again” and probably been laughing their heads off whilst marking them.

@@gunnerboy2975 I get it honestly. I'm not saying what you're going through is invalid but I know people who've given papers even 8 times. It's common to have not passed the exams you study for so hard. Best of luck if you'll be giving it this time

@BupeLupambo Жыл бұрын
we gave two different Interest Rates; 5% and 10%. 3:00:58 At 10% NPV is -85.30 3:01:05 At 5% NPV is 129.57 Try to follow between the times given in this comment.

@@BupeLupambo i mean on the table were u were calculating you indicate 10% rates yet the final answer has got 5%
@BupeLupambo Жыл бұрын
I see. Good observation 👌. The 5% is only showing on top as a heading but the actual discount factors in each are for the 10% (1, 0.909, 0.826, 0.751, etc). I'm sure the lesson has been learnt despite the typos.❤

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) are two different professional accounting qualifications with their own unique curriculum and exam requirements. While there may be some overlap in content between ACCA and CPA, it is not advisable to solely rely on ACCA materials when preparing for the CPA exam. This is because the CPA exam is tailored to the specific laws, regulations, and accounting practices of the country or state in which it is taken. If you are pursuing the CPA qualification, it is recommended that you use study materials specifically designed for the CPA exam, such as those provided by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) or other reputable CPA exam review courses. This will ensure that you are studying the most relevant and up-to-date information for the exam you are taking. Check out: youtube.com/@AccountingLectures For CPA lectures.
