I'll never understand why VT would rather throw a 3-yard pass than run the ball. If you're not going to pass at least 10 yards, run the ball unless it's a screen. There's too many defenders that close to the line. Reminds me of the Steinspring days.

@@joshsalmons1867 those. Screens were working last season however the opposing defenses have been playing over 80% zone to stop those play calls. They've made some good adjustments so far, and I'm curious to see what we see vs Rutgers this Saturday. I'll be there so let's hope they get it figured out. Go Hokies!

Why is stone earle playing, he should be the 3rd string. And why isnt turner starting. Clearly the coach has some favourites because if he wasnt as stubborn and actually played our best players we might have had a chance at winning.

Marshall and more specifically Huff has zero offensive identity. I like how Va Tech just used smash mouth football to punish us for 4 qtrs. I think Huff needs to rethink his air raid offense and go to old school smash mouth football. He is a running back coach after all
