Once the trend gains momemtum, it will turn into tsunami, remember, these people are coming back because they are convinced, no one is forcing them to come back. For the other side, the conversion is due to lot of effort, money, inducement. Hence it is un natural. It was about 15 years. One of my relative's Muslim neighbour was missing for quite a long time. Later it was found he was in Puri's Jagannath temple. He met a pujari of that temple. He was genuinely interested to serve Lord Jagannath. When the pujari came to know this, the guy revealed his true identity. The pujari took him to Kashi and made jagya and prayashchitta and did a upanayan. He adopted that guy and gave him his own gota. That guy now becomes a Pujari in Puri's Jagannath temple. He also married to another Pujari's daughter. He sometimes visit his native place to see his mother. But he stayed seperately, cook his own rice while staying at home. Puri temple allowed this and said until his mother alive he can visit her. It happened 15 years ago in Puri's Jagannath temple! So when liberals and courts talk about Jagannath temple as prejudice, this example destroy that false narrative completely.

This is good news! Even Hindus have learnt a lesson - many of them don’t look down upon Dalits. Many Dalits don’t visit temples because of the way they are treated. Same thing happens to people north eastern states because of the way they look. Here is the US, my friend bought a new car and actually dropped him off to the showroom. When I told him to take the car to temple for pooja, he said that’s last thing he will do! Yes, he is a Dalit. Dear sanathanis- we all have our older generation especially in rural areas who did not allow Dalits to enter their homes; we are a different generation and we can change; we need to treat people equally.

@@amaratrident493 , Yes, I have lived in North India as a kid in early 80s. I am from Karnataka but in the north, all south Indians are Madrasis. Same thing in temples also, south Indians were referred to as Madrasis.

Most of those who did ghar wapsi in Kerala are dalit Christians and they did so because they were not getting the benefits of reservation. So, they might do ghar wapsi on paper for the benefits, but they will keep going to churches and be under the influence of the church. Hence, this is not ghar wapsi in the real sense.
