I'm working with Americans and I have dream to match my accent with native. Not 100% but as much as I can. I know it'll take lots of efforts but I started getting comments for my accent. And it is just because of you Hadar. When Hadar is there, who cares!

26:00 'until the cows come home' possibly from the fact that cattle let out to pasture may be only expected to return for milking the next morning; for example: a party that goes on “until the cows come home” is a very long one. Now, If u say that someone can do something until the cows come home, but it will have no effect, ur emphasizing that it will have no effect even if they do it for a very long time.

I remember my first year in university in Canada. I was in a discussion group and we each take turns to speak on the topic. When it was my turn i had spoken for like 2 minutes and i felt so good because i know the topic very well. And after speaking the girl sitting right next to me literally said "i did get anything you said". That was the beginning of my insecurity. For the first time i became worried about how i sounded and kept to myself a lot because i would just end up having to repeat myself when i try to make conversations with people. My accent is better now but it took a lot of practice.

@@hadar.shemesh He is still filtering new mistakes. You know what? maybe one can challenge him by grammatical rules. He is kind though because he hurts nobody. He is just correcting mistakes. why don't we challenge him by grammatical rules? I am sure we will spot a lot. Anyway it is good to make mistakes because we are non-natives. We are learners still. Best of luck.😊🤗🤗💚

Interesting what she mentions about the clitche and what most privilleged people undermine the implicit impact of sounding different ... just a bit of that manifested when you interviewed the polygot few weeks earlier
