I know first hand how effective this technique is. About a year ago, after a long period of searching for partners to practice English with, I decided to let go of all excuses and do it on my own. I decided to sit down everyday for about 10 minutes and record myself, just audio no video. At first it was tough. I'd find myself sometimes rewinding and recording myself again and again because I'd get stuck and wouldn't know what to say next. But as with anything in life, the more you practice the better you get at it. Now, a year later, I still record myself. My speaking has improved a lot. I can easily partake in a conversation and speak effortlessly

Thank you for sharing your experience. I was always bothered about the speaking partners. But from today onwards, I too spare some time like 10 or 15 min a day then choose a topic, and speak with whatever words come into my mind. Hoping that one day, I become fluent in English🤗

When it comes to learning of tricks of learning English, a non native teacher can easily outsmart a native one, which is because the former always requires to research English more than the latter does.

Yes! It's actually true! Natives learn the language when they are still toddlers, hence they can speak it but sometimes it's hard for them to explain it

That was pretty much what I did when I practiced for IELTS, an English exam. I had to learn to express myself clearly and confidently on any topic without much thinking and interruptions for 2 minutes straight for the second part of the speaking test.

I'm in! I'm happily up for this challenge 😊 After all this time, I finally learn what hinders me most from growing my English is that I actually haven't had much interest in myself I haven't felt like sharing my ideas publicly because I always doubt on the inside that they are worth being given any attention or time to hear at all Along the way, there comes a time when you realize that learning English (or any other foreign language) is more about getting to know and embracing more of yourself that you would never have noticed in your native tongue than about picking up some fancy skills or tricks to make you outshine What you (myself included) have to do is to allow yourself some space to get ready to reveal other aspects of you you are not familiar with
