What happened to your FB post? I found it. You have to go to google.com, scroll to the bottom, tap on 'Settings' > 'Search settings' and be sure that “Language in Google products” is set to English. Tap on “Save” button if you change something. Then it works fine :)

It's on computers now. Just go to Google.com. For practice, make sure you are logged in. You don't have to be logged in to hear the word. It also works in Spanish. Type "how to say" and then the word or "how to pronounce" and then the word in the search bar.

i thought the t would be the most problematic consonant to represent. then i checked the words "beauty" and "treat" in the american section of pronunciation, and it just represented them with the same t symbol, and we know they sound different. Great job though. i wish it had a feature where the student says a word, then google recognizes it (google assistant way), and then the the words shows up and automatically plays the pronunciation of preference (US for example). It will help students search by voice, and also get immediate correction by google. I am loving your work by the way, the google call in the middle of the video was hilarious.

Wow, that phone call must have been quite a surprise to you :) Now you help millions of people to improve their pronunciation, which is incredible! It doesn't work on my Android Chrome, but works perfectly on Google app. As I am more used to IPA, it's slightly unusual to see those words completely how they sound. But I bet for many people it makes a lot more sense than IPA and so on. One thing that I've found inconvenient is that I have to change from British to American every time. Congratulations with this great achievement, Hadar! Way to go!

BTW could you please just ask the Google guys to develop an extension to web Chrome that, by right-clicking a selected word and then choosing "Say it" in the context menu, will open a new tab with the same functionality? 90% of the times that we need to hear the pronunciation happens while we are reading on the web ... It would be an astonishing neat feature for all of us non-native readers of English ... Sort of "Say it" extension ... Just two clicks to get to the pronunciation. It would be really useful!!

This is a fantastic tool. But I cannot consistently get 'google pronounce' results. Even if I try a variation of how to say...; how to pronounce...; google pronounce..., etc. It would be amazing if I could get the same consistent results as say, google translate. I'm sure it will. Thankyou

If your goal is to be a polyglot, you really should learn IPA. IPA is fully standardized and unambiguous because it dictates exactly what each sound is supposed to sound like. If you're an English speaker trying to learn both French and German, it's worth the time investment to learn IPA.

You’re right. In words with more than 2 possible pronunciations , at the moment it doesn’t appear so there’s no confusion. But it will support it in the future.
