Hey Hadar! Just came back from the U.S. for my graduation from college trip! Your videos helped me improving my American Accent and I came at the point that once I came back home in Italy I needed to listen to contents in English all the time, 'cause I stayed there one month and I got so used to speak English that once I got home I couldn't do without keeping on listening to videos and audios in this beautiful language. Keep up your excellent work! Mazal tov for everything

I like to eat 'chocolate biscuits' but English speakers like to eat syllables more. 😁

And I thought that in words like "situation" there is one syllable with no vowels, in this case it's the last syllable, in which the syllabic consonant is /n/. That's because the sound /n/ is a sonorant consonant, and it comes after /ʃ/ which is an obstruent consonant, and there is no vowel after it.

There’s a mini schwa there , and even when it’s reduced it’s still considered the core of a syllable

Could I ask what's the kind of phonic system that is used in this video? It looks similar to IPA, but it seems that there are a few differences.

Hello Professor, greetings from Venezuela. Is there any way to transcribe words and phrases from English to IPA without seeing the translation made by applications such as Elsa Speak, so that I can learn to transcribe the phonetic translation and thus have a better idea of how it is pronounced? I don't know if I explained myself well. Greetings and God bless you.
