This is arguably the best straight-up metal song of the last 20 years. No BS, no fancy tricks. Just a great main riff, nicely understated soloing and killer vocals.

I heard Eddie Trunk review this album and he said it was the best album of the year, I was so disappointed with my 80s studs putting out albums and being disappointed because I had way too high expectations, I thought Eddie may have done what I always did so I got "Blood of Nations" and ........it's on my all time top10! Accept and Scorpions were the kings of speed metal-the dual lead guitars- Accept's Peter and The Wolf were severely under rated, this was hands down the best record of the decade and the epitome of "comebacks"

A few reasons why this is so heavy metal: 1- You immediatly wanna bang your your head as soon as the song begins 2- Peter Baltes punching his bass in 3:45 - sooo cool 3- Wolf playing a guitar solo on a Panzer war tank 4- Mark singing in a bassy voice, yet reaching high notes as in 2:40 5- Last but not least, knowing that Blood of the Nations is an old style heavy metal album: every song is no shorter than 5 minutes, no commercial concessions at all in their playing and rock attitude!

I'm so tired of "no Udo no Accept" comments. I've been listening to Accept since 2010 (I'm 21 years old, that's why) and my first Accept cds were Balls To The Wall and Metal Heart. Then I got Russian Roulette. And then Blood Of The Nations album. After that album I became a die-hard fan of this band. I have a few U.D.O. albums as well (Faceless World and Steelhammer), but those are not as good as all the Accept albums for me. That's because I'm a fan of the band Accept, not just Udo Dirkschneider. He was 1 out of 5 in Accept, and Mark does the job just as good or even better. Udo's solo albums just doesn't have that something. The magic is missing. That magic can be found on almost every Accept album, Guitar of Wolf Hoffmann, Peter Baltes's bass work, all that is just pure perfection. This is just my opinion though...

Back to the frontlines... back to the night Medieval marauders... under the lights Back for the plunder... the thrill of the flames The roar of the thunder... back in the game Storming the castles... swords In the air Killing the monsters in their own lair Lighting the torches... setting the stage You get what you ask for... right in the face Six string sabres... screams in the night War clubs pounding... living just for the fight [Chorus:] So we drive... through the night With the howling wind at our backs Riding on Teutonic terror We will... Give em' the axe We will... Give em' the axe String up the razors... sharpen the blades Tighten the skins up... no one escapes Crank up the grindstone... load up the sleds Saddle the horses... Off with their Heads! Six string sabres... screams in the night War clubs pounding... living just for the fight [Chorus:] So we drive... through the night With the howling wind at our backs Riding on Teutonic terror We will... Give em' the axe We will... Give em' the axe For the roar... of the crowd For the raging frontal attack Delivering the Teutonic terror We will... Give em' the axe We will... Give em' the axe [Chorus:] So we drive... through the night With the howling wind at our backs Riding on Teutonic terror We will... Give em' the axe For the roar... of the crowd For the raging frontal attack Delivering the Teutonic terror We will... Give em' the axe We will... Give em' the axe

I've thought that all of Maiden's last 4 albums have had at least one standout, but that doesn't change the fact that they're pretty bad overall.
@JarJarBinks4ever8 жыл бұрын
mooseclappin11 Yeah they had some good songs, Speed of light and The red and the black were great, I jsut can't listen to those albums all the way through. The guys in Maiden clearly still have talent, I just think they should return to the 1980's style. Fuck Kevin Shirley.

I knew Accept through Play Station 2 Guitar Hero game. I don't remember how many times I played their song Balls to the Wall over and over again. Then I started looking for their other songs. One of the best decision I've ever made. I have come to known their hits, Metal Heart, Princess of the Dawn, Breaker, Up to the limit, Waiting for tonight and so on. Thank you, Accept for your songs. And I really like the playing style of their original drummer, Stefan Kaufmann. Stefan Schwarzmann also rocks. ❤❤

O maior retorno da história da música pesada!
@anarktv80987 жыл бұрын
@igormaxwel60937 жыл бұрын
@anarktv80987 жыл бұрын
@igormaxwel60937 жыл бұрын
