Thank you for the informative Tutorial and casaOS , discovered through your videos . I use duckdns private ip setup for ssl over my local network through NPM . And another duckdns domain pointing towards my tailescale ip reverse proxy by my NPM to jellyfin .

Nice guide, thank you. A couple of questions: My Nginx container has a different IP than my server (using Unraid), so which IP should my Jellyfin DNS be pointing to? Also I'm not sure how to configure the settings in Jellyfin itself to work with Nginx. Seems that an SSL certificate is needed and info on creating one is very confusing to a noob like me.

You use the ip of the web app that you are trying to give access to. If your Nginx ip is 192.168.1.100 and say jellyfin ip is 192.168.1.200 use 192.168.1.200. Just make sure you include the port that jellyfin is using. You dont need to change any settings in jellyfin. I understand that being a nooby it can be confusing. I had to watch a couple of videos myself and other youtubers made it confusing to me or added steps that weren't necessary. Just Watch mine over and maybe watch others. Let me know if you get it working. I am not an expert and is I just started using docker a few months ago that is why i use CasaOS it made it easier for me until I could learn more about docker still learning myself just trying to make it as easy as possible for others,

@@techmadeez9037 I finally had a "eureka" moment and realized Jellyfin was set to bridged network instead of using the same custom network as Nginx in docker settings. I changed it as well as the corresponding DNS settings to reflect the new Jellyfin IP and now it's working. Such a simple oversight lol. Thank you very much for your help. Your video is the most useful out of all the ones I watched. You earned a new subscriber 👍

I rather use tailscale as you dont have to port forward anything. Plus tailscale is native in unraid now and installs into every container with a literal one click button lol PLUS you dont expose anything to the internet. You have SSL and no one can access it outside your tailnet. This is the way
