This is a great design. The only thing I would look to alter would be the fridge. That little freezer section is useless. It would be better if the unit was just a refrigerator and then a separate chest style slide out freezer could be installed under the bed. Typically when you get something in or out of the freezer you are only accessing it minimally anyway, unlike the fridge which is opened and closed 10 times while preparing a meal. In addition in my experience the little freezer sections just end up with ice build up over time forcing you to defrost the entire unit a couple times a year.

Thanks for the kind words and feedback! We value both equally :). A second freezer unit could absolutely be installed under the bed. Our electrical system is fully expandable. That said, we like the mini-freezer unit for keeping ice. It's great for restocking a cooler or making a cold beverage in the evening.

I like your vans but for me, I prefer a top loading refrigerator, a bulkhead (with a door) for better insulation, and all the inside covered and fully insolated (no metal showing), and I don't want to see the garage from inside.

Ive only had an old uhaul with a cummins swap before. Can you guys do a transit high roof? Are these insulated? Are we able to get a top side freezer instead of sink and bottom cabinets for larger food storage? Windowless sides? 1000watt solar system? AC that can run off that? Possible to add a small woodstove? Im looking for something 4x4, and reliable, fuel efficient. Are the promasters more reliable? I need a kingbed! 6ft2, 317 pounds. Can you guys install a lock box for bow, shotgun, and rifle for hunting? How much would it be promaster vs transit cargo tall roof?

I'm curious as to why you don't insulate and finish off all of the exposed beams around the doors and behind the seats? I get that not everyone finds it as jarringly out of place as I do (the rest of the build looks so nice!), but doesn't it cause temperature and moisture issues?

Does look unfinished but I saw elsewhere that insulating those areas doesn't do much because of easy heat transfer thru those structures that contact the exterior walls. But agree condensation is a possible issue.

Is the storage bench moveable? It would be perfect if I could tuck it under the bed, or tuck it halfway to use as a step into bed.

We drill our storage benches into our floor system to ensure safety while traveling. That said, the benches can be moved by removing the screws and re-installing at the desired position!

Former Colorado resident here. In case Gypsum, Colo. doesn't ring any bells, it's in Eagle Co., in the west-central part of the state. West of Summit Co., north of Lake Co. The most famous town in Eagle Co. is Vail. Gypsum is about 38 mi west of Vail on IH-70.

Very simple build, but I’m bothered that so much of that lovely blue stained T&G was installed under the bed! I feel like this unfinished look is how my van will end up when I hit the road! 🤣

Willie Y it depends on how high we built your bed and how tall you are . 50/50 chance that you would be able to sit upright depending on those factors

MrNightpwner RVs are made very cheaply the last 10 to 20 years. Not everyone wants to tow a travel trailer either. Also you have to consider that you need two different insurances if you tell a travel trailer. I like this option a lot.
