Love that you are using the crispy. This is the type of boating adventure I enjoy the most. The low cost man's setup. No big boats here.

I agree a hundred percent. The more expensive the boat: the more expensive the kit, the more expensive it all is to operate and maintain. Simple is reliable, cheaper to operate and maintain.

Also, the guy is just downright wholesome! I wish nothing but the best for him, his family, and his business ventures. Gig 'em! '15

Love yalls channel. I have gotten into bfs gear this past yr and love it. I recently bought my first kayak and went with the old town sportsman 106 paddle. And i must say I fell in love with it right away. My fav ultra light bait is the hh custom baits kooshball bladed jig and my fav bfs rod so far is the kastking kestrel and the old 18 bfs rod.

I have 2 questions. More like a question and an observation I guess. 1) Question: I’m a salt water angler and add a little fresh in the mix occasionally. As I’m salt water I primarily, actually exclusively, run braid on all my set ups no matter what the target of that specific setup is. And I tend to use my lightest and smallest setups for freshwater cause unless you’re catching massive carp or catfish nothing in fresh water is going to need anything more than a 2k or 2.5k spinning or the equivalent in casting cause they just don’t fight as hard. (I know people get amped up about some weird rivalry but believe me that’s not throwing shade it’s just true in most waterways) So my question is where do you decide when to use braid vs mono? This might help some people who only have access to fresh (Braid = max sensitivity + no stretch) (Mono = less sensitivity + some stretch) what makes you say “yea this setup needs mono”? 2) I just watched a Jon B video of a tournament and freshwater anglers tend to always “practice” prior to. I just don’t understand that concept. Sure it may give you an idea of where the fish might be but you can go to one spot today and slaughter them and go tomorrow to the exact same spot and only catch a buzz. And that’s proven to be true in MOST (not all) videos I’ve seen of people who do the same thing. From what I’ve seen people do far better just exploring around catching fish (like this video) than they do on actual tournament days there’s plenty videos out there to prove it. Like I said “most” not “all” it just seems like what they call “practice” is pointless since fishing is a skill that’s acquired over long periods of time and not in a single day or few days of “practice” especially once you’ve reached a higher level of understanding of the concept of fishing. The only thing it really does is prove that fishing changes from day to day. No shade on anyone or anything I’m a huge fan of LFG & JonB and I like mixing in Fresh water occasionally especially since now I have a youngster and I’m showing him the ways so this is purely out of love and genuine curiosity. Much love from Virginia LFG! 🫡

I just unstuck the peehole on my outboard the other day. Best thing to keep in your tackle box is a 1-2' chunk of thick trimmer line from a weed-eater. Cut the end off on a 45, so its kinda poky and just run it up and back and it works a treat to clear it out.

My first Bass Boat was one of those narrow tri-hulls. Ugly as sin, but a great fishing platform. I would crash it through that mesquite and any other shrub to get to a good looking spot. Very shallow draft also so skinny water nor shrub could stop me!

Hey man love the videos! Been a fan of your channel for a while. While watching I thought I noticed a fish following your swim jig up. About the time you picked up that thread fin out of the water. I think it’s 3 min 9 sec into the video. Might be a shadow from you or the rod I couldn’t really tell but if it was a fish it looked pretty decent!

Pack a curved(half moon) file in your boat. You can file the edge of the prop smooth so it doesnt ruin your weekend. Then get it serviced when you return home. I recommend having a wood handle on it. When the repair them they have to weld on more material every single time. So it does not matter if you remove the bend chewed up edge to reduce most the v8bration. They are going to remove it anyway so they can weld a straight edge then grind it smooth. Just dont remove anymore than needed to smoo5h it out so they still can guess the original profile. But with that said file off anything that is bend and deformed. It is what makes it vibrate so bad and ruin the bearings bushings and gears ect not to mention not plane out only going half speed. Seriously a sime tool is the difference in a rasa

How does a "new lake" work exactly? Do they stock it with fish already grown? Has it been "developing" for years? Just curious. Good fishing!

this lake has been stocked with fry from the share lunker program for the past 3 years. Biggest bass in the lake at this point should be about 6 pounds and none of the bass have ever seen a lure 🚀

They been stocking the ponds that are now under the lake since 2019. And Bois D’Arc creek had fish in it already.
@rowdybroomstick63948 ай бұрын
Which one are you talking about Bois D Arc Creek in South West Arkansas is a much smaller lake than the lake he's on. The one about 50 minutes up interstate 30 towards little rock is only 700 acres and it's full of Florida strains and black crappie and I've seen several 8 ft alligators

Take into consideration all the ponds that were years old that got flooded. The bass from those ponds must think they died and went to heaven, freed from their confinement.

@sawyermartin44348 ай бұрын
The "scream" you're referring to is the digital cast control system in that reel. There is a computer inside the reel monitoring the speed of the spool & making adjustments to the braking system in real time as he casts, which is what you hear.
