can I just say this is the closet human embodiment to boticelli's 'the birth of Venus' anyone has ever got. this is a shite hollywood film clip and I just turned the sound down - but if you look at stills of her in that dress smiling naturally it is the embodiment of youthful female beauty - no one has come close to that perfection since the invention of photography at a public event (at least not showing their body whilst being semi-shrouded). (im not saying that there aren't more perfect women or dresses or films or blah blah blah but that photographic STILL - is perfection embodied... artistically speaking)... im not even getting into a conversation on the virtues of modesty and where hollywood dress codes have led us sexually. im literally just talking about a PERFECT still of a goddess.

….but, butt, she’s the queen of the naked dresses, and a “glowing example” of class and a role model for women and mothers everywhere. Right? BTW I’m not against dressing alluringly, but that so-called iconic green dress was designed only to allow as much exposure as decently possible. It did indeed achieve that. However, IMO, it was a hideous shapeless mess and her future naked fashions were far more attractive, even if they were naked dresses. But that green dress certainly helped skyrocket her career. A marketing wonder.
