Tupac’s Sister Cries During His Hollywood Walk Of Fame Ceremony

Tupac Shakur’s sister, Sekyiwa ‘Set’ Shakur got emotional during his posthumous Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony. Before the rap legend got his star on June 7, his sister was given a recognition and resolution on behalf of the City of Los Angeles. Then she took the podium to give a moving speech where she talked about her how her brother always knew he was bound for greatness. “Before anyone recognized his name, he knew he had a dream to have a star here on the Hollywood Walk of Fame,” she said before tearing up as she talked about what it means for him to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. “Now we gather here today to unveil Tupac’s star, not only paying tribute to his contribution in the music industry, but it also speaks volumes to the lasting impact he’s had on this world.”

I'm so happy to see Tupac finally get his just do because he was a MAJOR contributor to Hip Hop that reached the masses. Tupac was in a class all by himself. NO RAPPER to this day can come close to impacting this world the way he did in the studio or in the Hip Hop street's. Tupac was a lyrical genius on every level wether he was rapping about social injustices, thug life, current events, racism, police brutality, love, black pride, diss tracks etc etc etc. Tupac could rap about anything and be spot on!! He loved being black and he loved his people!! He wasn't scared to rap or talk about the injustices of black people on a regular. People LISTENED to Pac and followed him because he was a born leader. The only thing that pisses me off is when they are talking about the late great Tupac, they always seem to want to throw Biggie's name in the conversation. This was not about Biggie. They are in NO WAY on the same level in the Rap game. It's like comparing a Steak to a Hot Dog. I wish that interviewer's would quit trying to act like they are on the same level because they are clearly NOT. The only thing they have in common is that they were gunned down early in their lives and that their murders are still unsolved to this day. Let Pac have his shine without mentioning Biggie who was dead before his second album came out. They are two different people with two very different bodies of work. This star is long OVERDUE for Tupac.
