The times I see Zach being so passionate about what he is saying are my favourite. He is so funny and witty that it is easy to forget how extremely intelligent he is. But I genuinely believe he has the talent and brains to blow the art industry out of the world. Like his content would be hilariously intelligent. I can't wait to see more of him.

As a 40+ gal who grew up watching the friendly-neighbourhood Spider-man on TV, I understand the convo but the movie industry has to respect Stan Lee's vision for this character. Keep in mind that you're watching these movies as an adult, kids are also watching them so there has to be a middle ground where everyone can understand and enjoy the movie. If you want a dark character, either go towards one who is or create them yourself. Spider-man had a sad moment and a vengeful feeling moment but love prevented him from doing something hateful which is not part of his personality.

In the comics Logan and the joker are more dark characters so it makes sense for them to have a 24 style movie but spider man has always been a light hearted character with moments of realness so it makes sense his character was making jokes to try and distract himself but did not forget nor forgive what happened

My random thoughts as a big marvel fan: I think the best way to watch marvel movies is to view it more as a TV show series. Some characters have spin-offs but the goal is an ever expanding journey that will spotlight these events and characters at different times over a never ending timeline of stories. Although it’s often predictable and usually the good guys always win, we still see characters die or “lose” during conflicts. In some perspectives, having multiple movies to get attached to a character and then seeing them die or sacrifice their life, is a lot more impactful than only one movie where we get introduced and say goodbye in only 2 hours. Also with Disney in charge, marvel has a lot of restrictions with how “dark” they can take their content. Not saying the movies are perfect because the MCU definitely has their flaws but at the end of the day, the stories are still based on comic book superhero’s which are inherently goofy and outlandish.

I love it when you guys talk about films, I'm a screenwriter/filmmaker too and I am really interested to see what Zach comes up with. I love his humor, and he seems to have a big passion for good content. From experience I can say that it's okay to make a movie with "0% on rotten tomatoes" as long as you learn how to make a better one next time. Making movies is very hard regardless of how successful it becomes, but when someone has the passion and the drive to think things through and research and listen to feedback, like Zach seems to have, it's damn near impossible to mess it up, and those are the people I love working with, the people who get why telling stories with care and thoughtfulness is of extreme importantance and nowadays these people are very rare, so I hope Zach succeeds, 'cause he seems like one of them.

SPOILER ON SPIDER-MAN: as a marvel fan, I was sobbing uncontrollably when aunt May dies. The acting was A+! I personally don’t mind the quick pace of the movie , bc I’m also aware the movie is trying to jam pack so many scenes under three hours ! So it sucks how quick the emotions jump for a fan, but I also don’t mind bc it makes me have a rollercoaster of excitement, sadness, fear, shock ... and it’s so fun lol.

You guys should check out the rules marvel set for any spiderman appearance, for example spiderman isn't allowed to kill, hes not allowed too be in a sexual relationship. It will answer alot of your questions as why spiderman and marvel are the way they are

Zach’s clothing is Brendan Fraser in Encino Man. “I only pee if Jared is in the shower with me.” My brain immediately goes to sword fights. 🤣😂🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️. I heard banjos for a hot minute in this episode. Spiderman Spoilers: there needs to be a yin & yang to these films. Peter is in shock after & only has one focus, to kill goblin. Peter didn’t have a joke but it’s the lesser characters making a slight humor but the ending for me with Tobey’s face & the pain that he knows that Tom will feel if he does kill goblin. It doesn’t bring her back, it doesn’t change anything. That’s what got me emotionally because it took me back to his universe & the ending of Tom’s felt like the loneliness of the ending of Tobey’s but even more so. He has no one (although my friend pointed out Nick was off planet & blah blah blah). If you want Marvel to get “dark” then Thanos should’ve been permanent. The blip should’ve permanent because that was dark & depressing AF. However, we do loose some avengers with the outcome of this battle. If you kill off everyone & make it dark then it’s a depressing film. These are not films that are drama heavy. Marvel has done a good job of taking the heartbreak & stretching it. You get the reality & sadness but in small doses or like with the end game a big hit of a loss of people. Next film hopefully jumps ahead to Peter in his 20’s & hopefully like Iron Man it does go a bit deeper. He won’t be an awkward teen( whose actions pissed me off a bit in this film), he’ll now be adult Peter Parker. I’m ready for adult Peter. The film industry needs to change the same boring routine & the same casting & the same types of people in every single 🤬big film. New life needs to be breathed in to the film industry & Netflix needs an enema. 🤦🏽‍♀️ No offense to your suggestions but Markiplier or Jacksepticeye. People who in my opinion have much more potential & have proven they’re more than KZbin.

i think the thing with marvel that you can notice is they have their dark franchise of tv shows, and they have their kid-friendly movie franchise - now that they’re incorporating the dark characters into the movies (the dark ones are from the netflix show) the major worry among fans is that they’re going to nerf all of these characters to make them kid-friendly when they’re simply not, which is also why some of the actors, Jon Bernthal for example, said he would refuse the role of taking back up The Punisher unless they kept his same dark story line, which a lot of people think they won’t, along with Daredevil who is also a dark character. i think it’s less of a problem of marvel because they have multiple different kinds of plots and endings written out for one marvel movie, BUT these are all reviewed by the production company’s who own the franchises before being put out and if they don’t suit the target audience the company is aiming the movie towards, no matter how good it is they have to change it, and it’s really a shame because i myself can admit to frustration when a character goes from dark and twisted, or has a focus on a mental health aspect and they get nerfed or it gets a joke out over it - Bruce Banner’s statement at his struggles in Avengers for example, no one talks about what he goes through yet they really show because it was a dark focus on mental health (too with Thor in Endgame) but got passed by as a joke or overlooked which i think is something that really needs to be improved upon with the movies, in all honesty it’s why captain america: the winter soldier is my favourite because it’s one of the only films where i feel like they didn’t miss the mark when it came to a darker plot line

That Spider-Man debate was pretty painful. Both sides were making some really arguments. I don’t really see why a character can’t loose someone they live and then go on to distract themselves from that sadness by fully engaging in something else (creating the cures) But Jared’s arguments had nothing to do with that and was just “yeah but it’s for kids” and those types of arguments

What Marvel could do is have the “Marvel movies” that Zach wants and call it another version of the “multiverse” where Andrew Garfield stopped pulling his punches while also still having their movies that stick with the comic story lines. Now that they have introduced a “multiverse” they could make more movies with Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland. Sony can make the movies with Tobey or Andrew and Marvel Studios can make movies with Tom. That’s all I gotta say

You have to also remember Disney owns Marvel. If they make another Spiderman with andrew they can 1000% do a darker take on it but Bc Andrew’s spiderman is Sony. it’s a different studio, different producers. Different audience really bc disney caters more to the kids, their amusement parks and all that. NWH is an MCU movie and the point of marvel is to tie them all together at some point bc of the comics and how many different versions there are to each character and their stories.

It wouldnt add up for spiderman to all of a sudden go off the rails after aunt may died because his whole character was based off of putting others before himself and looking to the future instead of dwelling in the past although he is still human that doesnt change his duty to protect everyone as well as he possibly can, it wasnt too predictable in the ending and made sense so I'm not too mad at the movie nor the message.😊

i get what zach is trying to say but that is what spiderman does. he doesnt really show the emotion and the pain he is going though. he hides it behind the jokes. so where someone like batman would get super dark and sad spiderman keeps himslef happy to be able to stay on task but he lost it when he saw goblin try to kill mj and thats when we went off at the end its not he didnt care or that it didnt affect him he had to focous and distract himself from that and focous on the task at hand
