We always see results, but we never see the work involved. This channel is all about the work.
Hi internet, my name is Tony, I'm 21 from Sydney, Australia and yes I love my vegemite. I am using this channel to document my progression in learning new skills and hopefully inspire some of you to start something new. I have always been curious and have a weird obsession to learn random skills especially if they looked cool or gets the adrenaline pumping. I also have a walk before crawl mentality and apply it to everything I do. I have compiled a list of activities which I want to learn, however I would like suggestions from you. Suggestions are only limited to anything and everything.

The reason is u r leaving the floor when ur knees r half bent therefore ur only getting half of ur maximum height, but u will get there 🤜🏼

In gymnastics that’s called a back layout step out. You have to have all the way split legs and straight legs and pointed toes, so it’s a lot harder.

Make sure your shoulders and knees are aligned, and body leaning forward, it will maximise your height greatly.

Man I've been going through your videos lately and I find them super inspiring to go out and train. Seems like you can really commit to stuff, I find my fear holds me back loads also seems like it doesn't hurt you when you slam on the ground :P I'm going to adopt your style of focusing on one thing and conquering it, seems more efficient. Also your attempt at 3:35 is how I've done round off backs before, super low and whip like and they freak me out sooo much. Please keep filming, though I'm doing parkour I get pumped to learn stuff from your vids!

Samuel Betts for me it's probably not the best way to go about it, but I just commit to the move even if I'm not ready. I get scared sometimes too even of moves I already know I can land just some days I feel more confident than others. And also thanks for your support I'll have some parkour videos soon, just tricking a lot lately will have some variety :)

Yeah I have terrible commitent issues, and also on moves I can do too. I guess it's all part of it! Don't worry, I wasn't implying that you needed some parkour vids, but I'm sure they'd be great also!

Samuel Betts yeah it's part of learning, commit if you have the confidence not worth the risk! I want to get back into parkour it was so fun when I use to do it :)

Definitely! I find it a curse and a blessing that I catastrophize, it does mean I don't just chuck stuff. It definitely is great fun, I'm really starting to try and add flips, my favourite at the moment is front outs, ie do a running precision and front flip out, feels amazing. I'm sure you'd be able to adapt really quickly!

One tip is bring your leg out later and focus on the landing and slowly bring the timing out

When I started to learn the flash kick I started doing it without a bow, as a grouped backflip as high as I could and when I was in the highest position I pulled the leg and so I could learn it faster I learned it in about 2 hours or less

I don't know if you are still having the problem of not getting enough height/rotation on your standing backflip, but from what I can see the issue is in your setup/preparation. You are bending down super low which is making it really hard for your thighs to give you the power that you need, you only need to bend to a 90 degree angle and keep your hips and centre of gravity over your feet, any lower and you are making it hard for yourself. You also need to swing your arms behind you so that they are parallel to the ground so you can really swing them up and use that to get more height and rotation. I hope these tips help! Great video!! I landed my first backflip on ground yesterday and what helped me get more hight was keeping my chest down. It builds up more power for your jump. Try not to bend down so much too it can hurt your knees and kills your height

It looks to me like it’s just a folding gymnastics mat, you can buy them from a bunch of different websites and they have them on amazon too I think

Idk if you're still having problems with a low backflip, but one thing that helped me get more height was stacking a bunch of mats on top of each other till they're shoulder height, then jumping up and landing on top of it with my back, it helps you jump up and extend.

When doing the roundoff, trt to make both ur hands in one line, where it looks like a handstand, it will help you so much, to make it easier, twist ur waist, good luck :)

try to get more rebound from the roundoff. That's what helped me :)

i was trying these today but i had a split foot set up. it seems harder to do it while both feet are together before take off.

Start up on a folded panel mat and land on a unfolded mat to get more height. Every time you get a perfect one 3 times move down a panel till you get to the ground. Sorry I'm bad at explaining

Im really bad at learning like that I figured out it better than I just fall on ground 100 times and then land it. But we all learn differently!

Try to get more speed in your round off and try to start facing forward to make it easier to re-bound, which would give you the speed

I know this is super late hahah but also, you're bending back too early in your regular backflip. probably a master by now but, let your body travel up a bit more before you lean into the flip :)

Off of the round off you are sometimes pausing too long in between the roundoff an dthe actual flip and killimg your momentum, when you really use it you were almost overturning a couple times. Great job though👍👍

Honestly the grass gives you more for your jumps and hop then maps. the maps absorb too much force including the take off and landing.

Don't go so low and you'll be able to land higher you should be squatting at a 90 degree angle

I don't know if someone already wrote this.. (I don't wanna be mean) But i think your round off is not that good and u still got really nice height if u can work on your RoundOff you will have mad height ;) (I don't really want to hate i wish i can be good as you) :)

U r bending down way to low which kills ur height and also ur actually leaving the floor when ur knees r at a 90 degree angle u need to bend down less and take of when ur legs r as straight as they can get as well as getting that extra spring from your toes, keep it up 🤜🏼🤜🏼

the flash kick not the problem man, really train backflips man, easy to do and hard to master, do not bend your knees much at all, throw your hands to the sky not behind your head and tuck at the peak of your height :)

and ur round off need momentum into it dont just stand and round off that cant give you much momentum and at the end of ur vid urs flash kick looks sick man i can do standing but cant round off into it lol

iNetro Freerunning thanks mate, I figured I need more hip drive as well but yeah a lot of practicing to go. I need more space for a run up into the round off but I'll be trying that soon :)

focus on bouncing up with your tricks. you go way to low and you kill your momentum. but you land the flip because your ripped af lol

Yeah there’s two ways to flash kick one is the vertical way the other is like a whip back and not getting much height. I was still new when I filmed this now I can do both :)

You jump too low. Must jump higher Do not jump to the back. Jump up is better From a Thai man like you.
