Totally agree. That 90'S class of MC has to realize that there is one of themselves and only one of themselves and they have to be that to the fullest. Switching up does nothing for that caliber of artist. Imagine a Method Man as lyrically intelligent as he is mumble rapping like these young dudes. It would be a shame not to mention that you won't gain any real new fans because of what the newer demographic is accustomed to. The core fanbase of the 90 rapper plus their accomplishments are more than enough to keep them in conversations like these forever.

I find these conversations odd. I don’t think Jay-Z is trying to make albums right now. You want him to make albums. It’s you who feel that way. The fact that Nas is making good albums don’t mean Jay-Z now needs to hit the studio. He might not be a rapper anymore and I don’t think asking him to feature on a record or two is an indication otherwise

First of all jay drops only when he has something to say usually in a new way, he's a reactive character so when he snaps its because something fired him up and thirdly like dude said his power raps are from HOV not jay... jigga does the party tracks. If you haven't noticed his roll out has always been lyrical ability with uniqueness then popular acclaim for the white folk who pay ie Kingdom come magna carta 444 as they keep his financial position and pole position then he collaborates to tap into inspiration the art of creativity... we all have to accept whatever part of the cycle he's in his bars are historically accurate to the time and relevant to the culture. He been telling us he's not a rapper he's way beyond that and the sparring partner in nas will have him in his bag. Soon as u switch up your face I pick up the pace. Snuthin 2 it!
