Totally agree. That 90'S class of MC has to realize that there is one of themselves and only one of themselves and they have to be that to the fullest. Switching up does nothing for that caliber of artist. Imagine a Method Man as lyrically intelligent as he is mumble rapping like these young dudes. It would be a shame not to mention that you won't gain any real new fans because of what the newer demographic is accustomed to. The core fanbase of the 90 rapper plus their accomplishments are more than enough to keep them in conversations like these forever.

Can’t nobody say anything good about Jay without somebody bringing up Nas. Nas is dope as fuck! We get it, and to answer your question if I got to tell you that, you either don’t listen to Jay or don’t know the definition of aspire.

I definitely don’t agree. But I like both rappers

Good discussion y’all, great content. I wanna say this tho. I recently been listening to all of Nas catalog in the past couple weeks, and Iv come to the conclusion that Nastradamous is better then Hip Hop is Dead and I consider that album next to Nasir and Lost Tapes 2 as Nas worse projects
@lawrencecarter83432 жыл бұрын
Nastradamus is great! Lost Tapes 2 was fire too

Hip Hop is Dead is a great album that was overshadowed by the controversy

I’ve been saying it for years. Nas been better. Y’all just caught up in the Jay-Z hype, cuz he’s more POPULAR. Y’all have to let that go. Stop judging hip-hop based on pop standards. Leave that sh*t for other genres.

Ok I'll say it as a question who follows the wave to be accepted by the general public , and who creates his own waves since 1992 . This is not a million pounds questions it is actually 50 p question ❓❓❓

Rap Round Table are Lame.. A2HH pls don't associate with them. A2HH way ahead & better than RRT
@Iranmyers2 жыл бұрын
RRT isn’t lame. They joke but they’re fair. When people drop mid they voice it no matter the artists. You don’t get that honesty from most platforms

Nah bro the culture needs them as well. They not bought so they post what they feel and not what they're paid to say.

Jarv, you don't hate Nas. You hate the threat to your fav rapper. It's one thing to prefer Jay, but to hate Nas is immature. I hated Jay for goin at Nas, but Im over that. I can bump Nas and Jay. I dont hate Jay because I prefer Nas. You hate the threat and fans opinions. Be comfortable with your preference without hating someone elses. Debating is one thing, shittin on artists to win a bias argument is being caught up.

First of all jay drops only when he has something to say usually in a new way, he's a reactive character so when he snaps its because something fired him up and thirdly like dude said his power raps are from HOV not jay... jigga does the party tracks. If you haven't noticed his roll out has always been lyrical ability with uniqueness then popular acclaim for the white folk who pay ie Kingdom come magna carta 444 as they keep his financial position and pole position then he collaborates to tap into inspiration the art of creativity... we all have to accept whatever part of the cycle he's in his bars are historically accurate to the time and relevant to the culture. He been telling us he's not a rapper he's way beyond that and the sparring partner in nas will have him in his bag. Soon as u switch up your face I pick up the pace. Snuthin 2 it!

Mind he don't drop an nft type streets is watching metaverse movie album pulling out that flow he was spilling before everyone got the fast bars fully... dont play with shaun

Raps from Hov not Jay, grow up. I like Jay,but damn I never wanted to be him. He, Em and Nas are still good the same as The Rolling Stones and U2 because it is music and not a sport. Magna Carta was a half mic album.
